Chapter 26

I woke up and went straight to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Just as I rinsed my mouth, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and felt blood trickle down my vagina. My period had started. And considering the cramp I got just now, this was not going to be so good.

I did my work on the toilet and then stepped into the shower. Actually, I never feel like showering when I am on my period. No matter what, I never feel as I have actually showered. I put on the pad and decided to go down for breakfast. 

I changed my mind about breakfast halfway to the kitchen after my cramps got worse. I would just lie on the bed for a few hours till the cramps get better.

 "Why didn't you come down for breakfast, baby?" Kai asked as he entered the room with a breakfast tray in his hand. I am so thankful for him.

"Period cramps." I frowned.

"Oh." 

"Right now, I hate your periods more than you do, Rose. You look awful right now. And last time, it didn't let me have sex with you." Kai said after I had finished my food. He was sitting beside me all this time.

"You don't know how much I hate my period. Anyways, don't you have work today?" I raised my eyebrow at him.

"I think I will be here with you for some time. There is not much to do anyway." I know that he was lying. He had been working on his plan to 'destroy' Colton ever since I tod him about the attempted rape. He had already killed few of his best men. It is okay because they weren't innocent at all. He had also destroyed a few of his shipments and stole his clients. 

"Even though I love it when you behave like the cute boyfriend and stuff, I know you have work today Kai. You were rambling about it yesterday. You can go. It's not like I am dying or anything." 

"No Rose. It's not actually necessary. I can stay with you for some time."

"I find what you said really adorable and caring but I want that son of a bitch totally destroyed." I said with a fake evil look on my face.

"You want him totally destroyed do you?" he mimicked me, coming close to my face.

"Yeah." I said placing my lips on his and kissing him passionately.

"As you say, my majesty." he bowed after he pulled out.

Kai's POV

"King, there is a problem." one of my capo called me.

"What?"

"We saw some cars around our mansion which might belong to the Italians. So I think we might be under attack."

"Are you sure?"

"Mostly, king." he replied.

"Okay. So first of all, get the bullet proof gates closed, get the snipers ready. Call Carl and tell him to handle the weapons department. I want three men each with Rose and Leo. Take Lex along with two men and her babysitter to the saferoom. Lock the basement too." 

"Yes boss." and then I cut the call. I dialled Enzo on my way up to Rose.

"Hey Bro." I heard his voice from the other end.

"Enzo we are under attack. I have told Sean to take Lex and her babysitter along with two men to the saferoom. Ask Dana whether she wants to go too. Rose will be there"

"Dana we are under attack. You have to go to the saferoom." I heard Enzo order her from the other end.

"Hell no! I am fighting with you." she reasoned.

"Please. Listen to me baby."

"Don't you 'baby' me. I am going with you and that's final." I heard her say in a stern voice.

"Okay. Kai, you heard it." Enzo said to me.

"Rose, come with me quick." I grabbed her hand and was about to drag her along when I heard a grenade go off at the main entrance. The Italians were here but it would take them at least a few more minutes to enter the mansion.

"What was that Kai?" Rose asked.

"That was a grenade and we are under attack. So be quick. I am taking you to the safe room.

"Hell no! I am going to come with you." she stopped me from pulling her and went to take her gun.

"No Rose. And besides you were having the worst cramps an hour ago."

"But now I am a bit better. And it's just a period, Kai. It's nothing I can't handle. I am up for some adventure." she said eyeing her gun with a smirk.

"If you are fighting, then might as well fight with a proper gun." I said giving her a bigger gun from a drawer.

"I can use this?!" she asked with surprise. That is when we heard another loud sound and knew that the Italians had entered.

"Yes. Now come on." and before I could say something, she was running ahead of me. "Please don't make me regret this. Be safe." I said under my breath, making sure she didn't hear it. Even though there wasn't a problem in saying that to her, personally, when someone says that to me, I think that they don't have complete faith in me.

I might need more days to update as I have my finals next month. Also, how many of you started physical school?
