Eleanor has found herself rapidly walking down a massive corridor, along with James. He was walking in front of her in big strides, making it difficult for Eleanor to be able to follow along. She walked behind his big figure, taking in the surrounding wooden walls around her and the ambiance of what it seemed to be the inside of one of the biggest private libraries of whole Scotland.
He had parked the car in an underground private garage that gave direct access to one of the library's entries. Eleanor was confused by the whole situation, it has been already hard for her to be able to take in the recent events of yesterday but now she had to also try to comprehend the weird circumstances surrounding her situation.
She was thousands of miles away from home, without a car and without a way to get back home. On top of everything, she still had to quickly figure out a way of showing up to the interview. If James was correct, that means that Eleanor would have to go out of the library and wait in line in order to be able to have her interview on time.
It was currently 4:42 in the afternoon according to her phone's clock, that gave her less than 20 minutes to get ready for her interview and actually present herself there. With the amount of people wanting the job and waiting for an opportunity outside, she feared that she wouldn't get there on time or, even if she did, there was a high chance she wouldn't get the position. Concerns and questions clouded her mind and Eleanor started feeling dizzy and overwhelmed.
She slowed her pace down, not being able to keep up with James. She held her own chest as she breathed heavily, the corridors were vast and long, some historical buildings were extremely big and were tedious to walk around in. Eleanor looked down as she closed her eyes, trying to calm her breathing down.
James stopped hearing her small heels making their typical noise against the floor and stopped, looking behind him, in search for Eleanor. He saw her far back, a few dozen meters away. "Eleanor?" She was holding her hand against her chest, with a soft pained look in her eyes. He gave a quick jog towards her, concerned for any possible issue she might had. "Is everything alright?" He asked as he held his big hand against her back while squatting down next to her.
Eleanor gave a short nod, opening her eyes again and meeting his blue ones in the process. "Y-yes, everything is fine." She softly said, trying to calm her breathing down.
"We should go." James advised, searching for her gaze again.
"Go where? I have an interview! I have to go back to the line, I don't want to miss this opportunity." She protested, while stepping away from his broad figure.
"Come with me." He firmly said as he took his hand out for her to take.
"No! I want to go to my interview, I haven't come all this way only to fail in the last five hundred meters." Eleanor protested once again. Turning back around on her heels, she started walking in the direction in which both of them came. The halls were big and one could easily get lost in them, but Eleanor had to hurry up if she wanted to get to that interview on time.
"Eleanor! I assure you, you won't miss that interview. Just come with me." James sternly, yet gently, spoke again. She stopped dead in her tracks and turned around to face him, with an skeptical expression plastered all over her face.
"Do you know a faster way to get there?" She inquired both curiously and in a hurry.
"This way." He pointed to the rest of the hall in front of him. Eleanor was then faced with two options, she would either walk back all the way to the private garage and eventually reach the public street, where she could from there go to the front of the building and wait in line or she could take a leap of faith and trust and follow James to where he was trying to lead her. He could, very much, only ending up side tracking and causing her to lose her chance at the job she so much desired.
