Off the Hook's Origin Story.

Chapter 3: Starting Up.

In Marina's POV

I took a moment for me to realized who had come to my camp and I kinda got creeped out.

Marina: AHHHH!

Pearl: Hey calm down, geez, are all octolings?

Marina: Not really, hehehe... so what brings you here?

Pearl: Well, I came to check on you and this is where I come to practice. Also, what was all that music I heard?

Marina: Oh, I must of forgot to turned it off.

Pearl: Turn what off?

Marina: My music. I must have been really tired that I didn't have time to turn off the demo before I fell asleep.

Pearl: You know, that music was so slick I am gonna go through some of my rap skills.

Marina: Ok.

Pearl: Just to make sure, this may break more than glass.

Marina: Why?

Pearl: You'll see.

People may think that Pearl's music was terrible, but actually I really liked it. I went like this:

Pearl: All done so what do you think?

Marina: Ow!

Pearl: You ok?

Marina: I am, but whoa! I just had a great idea!

Pearl: I like the sound of that, tell me girl.

Marina: Well you see, with your great rap skills and those great vocal chords plus my keyboard skills and my electronic abilities. I can only say but one thing........... LET'S START A BAND!!

Pearl: Sweet I'm in, but there's just one problem.

Marina: Wut?

Pearl: Well you see my vocal chords can be so powerful the last time I used them too hard that it ended up with amps and windows broken.

Marina: Maybe I can help.

Pearl: Really?! Thanks Marina!

Marina: No problem.

Pearl: Wanna come to my place? You can stay if you want.

Marina: Sure.

Pearl: Alrighty, grab your stuff and let's roll out!

Marina: All done.

Pearl: That fast?! You don't have that much stuff, do you?

Marina: No.

Pearl: Ok, then let's go.

I followed Pearl to Inkopolis plaza where we got to her apartment. But when I got inside my mind exploded.

Marina: WUT??!!! DO YOU LIVE HERE? THIS IS THE BIGGEST APARTMENT I'VE EVER SEEN!!

Pearl: Heheh, my family is very rich so this where I live, and this is called a penthouse.

Marina: Awesome!

Her place was two stories tall, with crimson wallpaper, a kitchen with many pantries, and like 5 rooms. I mean, I've seen shows with big apartments but this is way too much.

Pearl: I have plenty rooms so you can choose were you wanna stay.

Marina: Thanks.

I went to an empty room, laid my stuff there, and went down stairs.

Marina: Ok so if we wanna make a successful band like the Squid Sisters, we need to think of a name. All great bands have a name that can be used for word play.

Pearl: What about Off the Hook?

Marina: Yeah, it can go like this,"Don't get cooked....Stay Off the Hook!"

Pearl: Nice.

Marina: Also, can I see your equipment?

Pearl: Sure.

So I got up and went to Pearl's studio place. There I saw the equipment Pearl was talking about, so I got to work on fixing it.

2 hours later, in Pearl's POV.

It's been like 2 hours since Marina went to see the equipment I had. Since I was tired of waiting, I decided to go and check on her.

Pearl: Hey Marina, are you ok?

When I opened the door to my studio, I saw Marina doing all sorts of techy stuff.

Pearl: What is happening?

Marina: Oh! hi Pearl, I was just finishing fixing all of the equipment.

Pearl: Whoa, now that is hard work! But anyway, can we try it?

Marina: Sure. Now I just start this up and go!

I was singing a song that came to my mind, I still can't remember what is was, and everything was going smoothly. After the song I was worried I broke the new equipment, but to my surprise everything was Ok.

Pearl: WOW! This is the first time nothing got destroyed due to me. Marina, you are a miracle worker.

Marina: Oh please, it was nothing.

Pearl: So with everything ready to go, I think we are ready.

Marina: Ok, but first we need some cool names.

Pearl: Well then my name will be "MC. Princess".

Marina: And my name will be "DJ HyperFresh".

Pearl: Nah, mine is better.

Marina: In your dreams, mine is the best.

Pearl: Guess we'll never know. By the way, I think it is time to go to bed.

Marina: Good idea 'cause I am tired.

Pearl: Ok then, I am going to my room. Good night Marina.

Marina: Night Pearl.

We walked up to our rooms and headed to sleep. As I was headed to bed, I was thinking what would the next step for our music career would be.

Marina: We can probably get a gig to play music, maybe even in a café. But that's for tomorrow. So, time to hit the hay.

YEAH BOI! I am done with chapter 3 so all of you enjoy. Also, IT FINALLY 2021 AND WE CAN SAY GOOD BYE TO 2020!
