Aleisha and her friends decided to go over to Aleisha's place for their Monday ritual.
That is, the start of the year "girl talks" or one might even call it "gossip sessions". Once every week, the girls would meet up to discuss their life problems, exam stress and of course their love lives.

Which in Aleisha's case had been dry as the The Sahara desert.
Since like forever.

"Girls I'm done being single ugggh my life is so boring. You know what the problem is? I have been good for far too long. I mean, I've never even had a sip of alcohol for crying out loud."
Aleisha whined while applying Rhea her favourite purple nail polish.

"It's true but to be honest being in a relationship is not all that great you know, It just makes you feel less lonely I guess."
Rhea sighed.

"She's right it's not like you'll end up marrying the person you're dating."Jenny agreed.

"What happened? Are you having problems with Nate?"

Nate was Rhea's boyfriend. But he was from another school so Jenny and Aleisha weren't that close with him. Although he was pretty goodlooking, Aleisha always found something odd about him.
Like some days he would totally blow off Rhea to hang out with his buddies from school.
Aleisha wasn't saying that hanging out with other people was bad but she still remembered the day of Rheas birthday where he blew her off to stay in with his soccer teammates which was pretty much of an asshole move.
Even for him.

But like they say, love is blind.
And also like Selena Gomez said, the heart wants what it wants.

In Aleisha's case,
Paxton Hall Yoshida.

Stop dreaming about him Aleisha, he's out of your league.

But maybe thinking about him was alright?
I mean it wasn't like she was in love with him.
It was just a crush.
And crushes go away, right?

Stop zoning out Aleisha, and pay attention.

"Aleisha are you listening?" Rhea moved her fingers in front of Aleisha's face and gave her one of her infamous disappointed looks.

Which Aleisha was used to since forever.

"I'm sorry Rheee,I was just thinking you know? My life just sucks"

"Were you thinking about Paxton again?"

"Ummm No"

"He did look excessively hot today in class and I honestly didn't expect him to appear in one of our classes."

"I know right he's like a sex god or something" Jenny chimed in.

"Girls, Aleisha come downstairs dinners ready"
Aleisha's mom Yelled from downstairs.

Aleisha's mother and father were doctors. Her mom was a dermatologist and her father was a general physician. And of course, they met in college and fell in love.

Aleisha had no idea what to do about her future but deep down she always had a passion towards the medical field.

She didn't have her hopes up yet though.
She was fine with any career as long as it made her happy doing it.

Her parents never forced her to be whatever they wanted her to be either. Although they were very strict with her studies hence explaining the clashes she had with Ben Gross to be the top of the class.

"What's for dinner mom?" Aleisha yelled.

"Your favourite chocolate pancakes"

Trust an Indian household for having the ability of yelling stuff instead of actually going downstairs and checking it out.
