They pulled into the driveway of Raspy Hill.

All was quiet except for Chase cooing his children and hugging them profusely. He hadn't called Stacey yet but he knew that if he did, she'd have demanded he bring them to her immediately and he wouldn't have any time with them again.

Anti had stared out the window the entire ride, seemingly contemplating something in his head. No one bothered him but Marvin was one of the only ones worried for him. Once in a while, Dark had looked in the rear view mirror to glance at him but said nothing.

As they finally arrived to the mansion, everyone clambered out and Marvin helped Anti whether he liked it or not, pulling his arm over his shoulder. The two of them were behind the others, watching as everyone went inside.

Only. . . Marvin stopped, preventing Anti from walking any further, too.

Anti glanced at him, "What?"

Marvin stared at the doorway of the mansion where everyone would most likely sentence Anti to his punishment.

He blinked and swallowed hard, finally looked at him, "Are you sure you wanna go in there?" he asked him.

Anti didn't quite understand, "What do you mean?"

"Anti . . ." Marvin sighed, "I don't have Stockholm Syndrome. We both know that. But . . . . if you wanna get out of here . . . I'll help you."

They finally locked eyes and Anti could only see Marvin's determination. He was telling the truth.

Anti didn't understand it still, though, "Wh-why? Why would you help me?"

Marvin glanced at the mansion again to make sure no one was watching them, "Because I'm your brother, you damn fool. Now make up your mind before it's too late. I can get us out of here now if you want. We can get back to the house and go somewhere else far away where they can't find us. You're my brother and they don't know you like I do. I'll stand by your side, brat"

A part of Anti didn't want to believe him. But he did. Astonishingly enough, though. . . .

That's not what he wanted.

Anti thought about it. But really . . .

"You know . . . you really are a fool, Marv"

Marvin was caught off guard by that but didn't have time to retaliate as Anti chuckled.

"You have no reason to help me"

"I-"

"I'm not your brother, Marv. I'm a-"

"You ARE my brother." Anti was about to argue again but looked back at him. He found himself. . . silenced. Marvin's heated glare was enough to make him mute. So full of confidence in his answer.

Anti had never felt this before. He both loved and hated it.

The glitch thought about what he had said, though and shrugged, "I need to . . . . go in there."

"You don't have to-"

"I do. I can't run from the shit I've done anymore. Time to take responsibility, yeah?"

"Anti-"

"Just keep walking."

Marvin hated that Anti wouldn't listen but on the other hand . . he was so proud of him.

This was the moment Anti changed. A week ago, he wouldn't have confronted them. He'd have ran away again and again only to try to hurt them another day, letting the cycle continue on and on.
