Oh my gosh angst?? Lemme just fix that real quick!
The night was not a nice one to them. They tossed and turned, sleeping lightly to make sure they heard if knocking would come on their door from that man, or Dream.
George slept in a daze. He felt truly awake the entire night, and slept awfully.
Somehow, Sapnap managed to snore on like he did every night, but George's rest was never really his own. At some point he dreamt of dirty blonde hair, covered in snow.
Contrary to all of their outside personas, they were all very kind and goofy.
They cared for one another, truly. Sure, they murdered mobs day and night and had no issues with overwhelming amounts of violence, but when George dreamt of Dream, all he saw was his brightly smiling face, with flushed cheeks from just playing in the snow.
He'd knocked at their door saying "you didn't have to worry yourself so much, George! I was just out getting some cookies for you guys! Here try one! And a pile of chocolate chip cookies appeared out of nowhere in his perfect fingerless gloved hands. Oh thank god he's alright. George had thought. There was no way this wasn't real.
Everything about Dream was accurate down to the last detail.
George happily grabbed a cookie and bit down hard, only to hear a screech and a slap across the face.
"What the hell George!" Sapnap was yelling as he held his hand that was now bruised with bite marks from George's mouth. He blushed and got up, the morning sun shining through the single window their room had.
"Oh god, I'm sorry! I-I guess I was dreaming I had a-"
"I don't give a flying fuck what you were dreaming about George," he said angrily getting up and slamming the bathroom door. George sighed and fell back against his uncomfortable motel pillow, thinking of his Dream.
They didn't dottle that morning, although George was nervous Sapnap would be difficult to move in the mornings without Dream. On the contrary, he was up and ready to go at the same time George was.
In the main lobby, they saw the man from last night, snoozing on his desk. He must've really stayed up all night waiting for Dream, who apparently never came.Out of half pity half gratitude, George left a note by the man, thanking him for his help, and left an extra emerald tip before they set off.
The outdoors was almost as cold as the night before, the ground covered in a clean coat of snow. No one had trekked over it yet. It was quite beautiful, but they didn't stop to admire it.They broke through the snow quickly and began the search for Dream bickering the entire way. When they got to the place
Sapnap felt that he had lost one another
they stopped and began digging around, looking for any clues.George continued to doubt this is where they had lost Dream, where Sapnap snapped back at him every time assuring he was the one holding g Dream's hand. George always responded with either "I lost my footing too!" Or "yeah, so it's your fault we've lost him!"
After about fifteen minutes searching hopelessly in piles of snow Sapnap was sick of it.
"That's it, we're done digging, lets go explore outside the village and try to find him."
"Outside the village?" George said standing up and wiping away the snow on his arms. The sun shone overhead, yet the weather stayed just as cold as ever. "why would Dream go outside the village!"
"If he had made it to a building wouldn't you agree that he would already be out by now waiting for us? Besides, looking around here for his dead body isn't sitting well with me". George's blood boiled as he shot back.
