A/N: I think I broke my personal record for the fastest update. I hope everyone is continuing to enjoy their holiday and is getting excited for the new year! I'll be breaking my new new record and posting Part 3 and linking it below this text post tomorrow, since it's already finished aside from proof-reading.

"I remember tears streaming down your face when I said I'd never let you go..."

"...When all those shadows almost killed your light."

Levi paused, ears tuning in to the soothing, angel-like melody resonating down the street. It was enchanting, like a siren's call, having the ability to freeze time. Everyone in their place would be forced to stop and listen. The male turned his head in intrigue, but he could not distinguish where the source of the song was coming from.

Hange's own attention was caught as well, and she pushed her glasses further on the bridge of her nose to more effectively search amongst the rubble.

"You hear that too, right?"

Levi nodded. They were supposed to be retreating Trost, but neither of the two moved. Hange for her curiosity, but the Captain remained for an entirely different reason.

"I remember you said 'don't leave me here alone,'"

"But all that's gone and dead and passed tonight..."

Hange cleared her throat, breaking out of the trace the woman's voice rocked her into.

"It's probably not worth investigating," she shrugged, watching several figures from her squad prepare to make a running start. "We better get going, Levi," she suggested before leaving him standing on the rooftop.

Levi jumped down onto the cobblestone road and ignored her recommendation, the voice sounding closer as he did so. Besides, the time he gave you hadn't quite run out yet.

"Just close your eyes, the sun is going down,"

The short male squinted his eyes, his gaze falling on a house crushed down to rubble with three motionless titans piled around it. Levi saw you kneeling amongst the debris past the cloud of emitting smoke, cradling something in your arms.

Interest piqued, he calmly glided over with his gear to stand next to you.

"You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now,"
