We were still in the hospital after two weeks. Tony was dead and it was ruled self defense. After Michael was cleared from the hospital, he went straight to the police station to give his statement. I was in such bad state that the officers had to come and get my statement from here.
I had to regain all my strength again by eating, walking the halls and then of course Michael was there by my side. One day while I was eating, the food almost tasted funny. And then I got sick on the stomach, this been going on for three days.
I pushed my food away from me and laid my head back.
"Baby what's wrong?" He said.
"I just feel sick on the stomach again." I said.
"You want me to walk you in the bathroom?" He said.
"I don't know if I can make it. Call the nurse please." I said.
He walked outside and called the doctor for me. The doctor rushed in with a small basin and Michael followed behind him.
"Hello Mia. Are you doing okay?" He asked.
I grabbed the basin and all my food came up. Michael went into the bathroom and grabbed a cloth to put on my forehead.
"She's been sick on the stomach for three days, doc." He said.
I leaned forward and threw up one more good time and then I felt better.
"Ugh.. I hate this feeling. Is there something I could take for nauseousness?" I asked.
The doctor looked at me and Michael as if he had the perfect solution.
"I will take a pee sample and run a blood test on you first." He said.
"Well one of the nurses had taken a sample from me about 10 minutes ago." I said.
"Okay well, just take it easy and give me forty-five minutes maybe I might not need a blood sample." He said.
He left out and my phone had rung. Michael picked it up and handed it to me.
"Its the lawyers babe. But I really don't feel like talking." I said.
"Just relax baby, they can leave a message." He said.
I shook my head and relax as Michael gently massaged my forehead and hummed to me. I loved when he did that. I can't wait to leave out of here though but the doctor just wanted me to stay a few more days to make sure that everything was fine.
***45 Minutes Later***
Michael
Lena had just dozed off for her a nap when the doctor walked in. He looked at me and smiled.
"Doc is everything okay?" I asked.
"Well I could tell you but I wanted to talk to both of you guys." He said.
Lena flinched a little bit and then her eyes opened up. She looked around until she seen my face again.
"What's happening? Everything okay?" She asked in a panic.
"Wait... wait.. everything is fine!" I said, "Relax, okay?" I said.
"Okay but..." she said.
"Well listen, I came back because I have some good news!" He said.
"Good news?" I asked.
"Yes I am back to tell you that I was able to get a sample from your urine and your three weeks pregnant ma'am." He said.
"Three weeks... what!?" She said.
"Baby! Your pregnant!!" I said.
"Oh my God! Oh my God..." she said.
She broke down and cried. This woman been through so much in a five years. She was being beat on, she was alone and she lost her son. I ended up crying tears with her because I found someone in my life that is worth loving, living and dying for. I couldn't have asked for a better life than this. I am so happy for us.

Well, I guess this is the end of my story but that was the tough part though. Now here's the happy ending, Me and Michael ended up staying in New York. We both sold our homes and bought a brand new one. Oh we stayed in Albany, you know, the same place where the cabin is. This is that part where we both start fresh and with our new baby on the way, I guess we were destined to be with eachother.
Now that's a love at first sight story from my point of view. I lost one son only to gain another son from the man who I ended up getting married to before our son was born. This is our happily ever after! I had finally found my King and he found his queen...
Then came marriage and the baby in the baby carriage!!!
