Jade's POV

"Leigh come on, we'll be late!", I call up the stairs pushing up my glasses. "I'm sorry, my sweater got caught on my braces.", she whines grabbing her keys. "You two have a good day, we're going to be working late tonight.", our dad says pulling me into a hug. "See you later.", I smile kissing his cheek. He lands a peck on my forehead before repeating it to Leigh. We walk outside to her dark green car and place our bags in the backseat before climbing in the front. "We got everything?", she asks looking over to me. "I've got your anxiety meds, mine, emergency epipens, an inhaler, and two extra pairs of glasses.", I answer.

"Alright we can set off.", she says pulling out the drive way. We cruise through the streets until we come up on the big building. "You ready for another year of hell?", I ask looking over. "I don't have a choice do I?", she jokes pulling into a parking space. She hands me my bag and I sigh before pushing open the doors. We make quick work of getting our schedules and finding our lockers when the real trouble begins. "Look who it is.", a voice says from behind us. We have a staring battle to see who turns around first and I lose before meeting his dark brown, almost black eyes. "It's the Pinnock sisters. How you girls enjoying your day so far?", Trevor asks pushing through his goons.

"Alright I guess.", I mumble looking away. "Let me see those pretty Bambi eyes.", he coos turning my hand back to him. Leigh starts to side step away before getting pushed up against another set of lockers. The doors open again and the girls that have my sister and I head over heels step through making everyone focus on them. They're both beautiful but the brunette with color changing eyes is the one who struck my heart. Jesy Nelson, good grades, good looks, and great personality. She's the funniest girl you could ever meet, and she's co-captain of the cheerleading team. She turns her head and meets my eyes before frowning and walking over.

"What are you doing to them Trevor?", she questions. "I was just giving them their yearly welcome.", he grins sleazily. "Well they look uncomfortable so stop it.", she says folding her arms. "Whatever you want.", he sighs stepping back. "Come on boys, we've got better things to do.", he chuckles walking away. "Jade, right?", she questions. "Y-yes.", I answer. She tilts my glasses straight and smiles at me. "He didn't hurt you did he?", she questions softly. "N-no. I'm fine.", I say looking away from her beautiful eyes. "We have biology together right?", she questions. "Yeah.", I answer. "Cool, I'll see you then.", she grins walking away with Perrie.

"I don't know if I want to cry, faint, or scream.", I say looking at my sister. "Her eyes are so blue.", Leigh responds still in her dream land. "We have to get going, our classes are starting soon.", I say closing the locker door. She hums and follows behind me to our first class which is reading. "Welcome back, I see some familiar faces.", the teacher smiles writing something on the bored. "This semester, we'll be reading the entire Giver quartet, starting with the well loved The Giver.", she says distributing the books. "Are we going to watch the movies as well?", Leigh questions. "We definitely are.", the teacher answers with an even bigger smile.

Jesy's POV

That Jade girl has taken over my mind and I'm not complaining about it. She's absolutely adorable, and so shy. "What are you thinking about Jes?", Perrie questions fixing her lip gloss. "The girl in the halls. Her name is Jade.", I answer. "You totally like her.", she says looking at me through the mirror. "I think I do. She's too cute not to like. But don't think I didn't see you making heart eyes at her sister.", I say looking over at her. "Leigh-Anne is her name. She's so shy and respectful.", she gushes. "Isn't she the one with the braces?", I ask as we walk out the door.

"They're so cute. She started rambling on about her and Jade were almost late because her sweater got caught on them.", she answers. "I don't usually see them around school, they must have off campus lunch.", she says as we walk to class. "We've got to know more about them, we should invite them to hang out.", I say hitting her arm. "I get your point, stop hitting me.", she says pushing my hand away. "Do you have any classes with Leigh?", I ask. "We have advanced algebra, and a free period together.", she answers. "Good, make that your priority. I'll see you later.", I say walking to my first class, which is writing.
