Terezis POV
I woke up to shouting. That's weird, latula never shouts unless she hurt herself or did something stupid. I sit up on my makeshift bed. I remember I stayed the night at karkats. That explains the smell of deodorant. I stand up before the smell suffocates me.
"Whatever kankri" Karkat stomps upstairs.
He notices me in the doorway. I could smell the blush on his cheeks.
"Hey karkles" I stuff my hand in my Jean pockets and smirk at him.
"Hai, kankri said we have the day off school" he sounded happy and angry at the same time.
"Awesome!" I sneeze, making Karkat chuckle.
He wrapped his arms around me and lead me back to my mattress by the radiator. He sat me down.
"You've got a cold terezi" he muttered, holding my hands.
I nodded, sniffing. Yup, I had a blocked nose. Latula normally let me have the day off when I had a cold anyway since it was hrd for me to get around without my nose.
"You're so adorable" he chuckled, pressing his forehead against mine.
"Heh" I envelope him in a bear hug.
"Well, what do you wanna do today?" He asks me as e pulls away from my hug.
"Can we go to the park?"
"Are you sure?"
I nod enthusiastically. He rolls his eyes and grabs my hand. He pulls me downstairs and into what smells like the living room. Kankri was in there, his reading glasses perched on his nose.
"Can we go to he park?" Karkat sounded like he was actually pleading.
"Fine but be careful. Don't slip on any ice. Terezi doesn't have her cane, look after her" kankri warned.
I scoff as we walk out the door.
"I can look after myself" I sniff again, my blocked nose preventing my from smelling anything.
Karkat sighed "not when you're ill".
I shrug and step outside. I'm greeted with a gust of fresh air and a thickly nose. I sneeze, making me lost my balance a little. Karkats instantly behind me.
"Uhh, thanks" he holds my hand and leads me yo the park.
We sit underneath an old oak tree on a bench. We talked for what seemed like hours until we heard footsteps striding up to us. My nose wasn't working that well so I couldn't get their scents straight away. Karkat sighed beside me, frustrated.
"Hey guys" yup, I knew that voice. It was vriska.
"Hi" I smirk, sniffing a bit.
"Not a very time to be ill terezi" vriska frowns a little.
I nod and then realise tavros was beside her. What he was doing near his bully was a mystery.
"What do you want" Karkat grumbled.
Vriska held her hands up in defence "just curious why you guys weren't at school, jeez".
Karkat explained while insat there, trying to prevent my nose from running. I wiggled it a bit then sniffed. Finally Karkat was done and vriska stood there, looking as if she was in deep thought. At least that's what my nose was telling me.
"That's it really" Karkat finished.
"Okay. Well, I have to go. I've got too many irons in the fire to be talking to you losers" she waved goodbye and swaggered off.
Tavros stayed p to chat for a bit before going. I rested my head on karkats shoulder and he started stroking my hair. He took me to latulas when it was dark. She welcomed me with open arms and medicine.
"Thank god you were OK" she said into my hair.
"Its fine" I mumbled, trying not to get her hair in my mouth.
She released me, gave me my medicine then sent me upstairs to bed. I fell asleep quickly.
