Chapter Six

Edward's POV

After Bella fell asleep in my arms I sneaked out of her room through the window, then I took off running towards home. I noticed before Bella woke up she was having a terrible dream, I wanted to know what it was about, but I didn't ask her. I didn't like to see her so distraught, I was glad when she woke up. I didn't expect her to be so lustful though, but I couldn't say I didn't enjoy what she did to me because I loved it.

Alice was waiting for me outside when I arrived, she said, “I have something to tell you Edward and it's not good news.” I asked her, “What is it?” She sighed before saying, “Someone from Bella's past will be coming to school on Monday, she owes him some money.” I asked, “Why does she owe him money?” She replied, “She never paid him for the drugs she bought.” I sighed and asked, “What does he plan on doing to her?” She replied, “He'll threaten to kill her, if she doesn't pay up.”

A growl escaped through my clenched teeth, I said, “I won't let anything happen to her.” Alice responded with a sigh, “I know that.” She turned around and headed inside the house, after a moment I headed inside and walked up the stairs to my bed room. I grabbed my Ipod off the dresser and laid down on my bed, I got lost in the music for awhile.

Bella's POV

I woke up the next morning with a smile on my face, I had made love with Edward last night and I had enjoyed it so much. I quickly threw on some clothes before heading downstairs, I could hear Charlie moving around in the kitchen downstairs. Then I headed downstairs and into the kitchen, I asked Charlie, “Do you want me to make you something to eat?” He sighed and said, “Okay Bells, that would be great.” I walked over to the fridge and pulled out a carton of eggs, then grabbed a package of sausage links from the freezer.

After a second I asked Charlie, “How does scrambled eggs and sausage links sound, dad?” He replied without looking away from the newspaper, “It sounds great, Bells.” I prepare the eggs and put them on the stove, then I put the sausage links on a frying pan and turned the burner on. I watched over the food as it started to cook, I had awhile before Alice would show up.

Fifteen minutes later everything was done cooking and I put the food on two plates, I handed Charlie his and sat down at the table with mine. I began eating my breakfast, I couldn't get the thought of my impending doom out of my mind. Charlie asked, “Is something wrong, Bella?” I replied, “No, I'm fine.” He sighed and said, “I know you're lying to me.” I said more than a little irritated, “I don't want to talk about it.” He replied, “Fine Bells, I'm sorry for asking.”

I sighed and continued eating my breakfast, when I was finished I piled the dishes in the sink and began washing them. I could feel Charlie staring at me the entire time, I just ignored him as I washed the dishes. Charlie said, “Billy and Jacob will be coming over at five to watch a football game. I will be bringing supper home tonight, so you don't have to cook. I replied, “Okay, dad.”

A few minutes later I finished the dishes and headed upstairs to take a shower, then I went into my room and got dressed. The thought of Billy and Jacob coming over later made me nervous, since I had ran out on them yesterday. I hope they wouldn't bring up what happened yesterday to Charlie because I didn't know what I would do, but I bet if he did my father wouldn't be happy with him either.

Once I was fully dressed in a blue flannel shirt and a pair of jeans I grabbed my purse, then I headed downstairs and waited for Alice to arrive. After a few minutes Charlie came into the living room and sat in his favorite chair, he turned the television on and started flipping through the channels. I grabbed my phone from my purse and began surfing the web, I just wanted to keep myself occupied until Alice showed up.
