[134] THE BREAK UP - JIKOOK [COMPLETED]

Finale

"Just tell me why?" Jungkook was desperate. Jimin, his boyfriend of 8 months just broke up with him over the phone, no explanations, nothing. It took him a week to finally get Jimin alone again

"Why?" Jungkook is hurting, he really loved Jimin "....don't you love me anymore?" Jungkook's voice cracks

"I love you…. a lot…" Jimin sniffles

"Then why?" Jungkook is angry "...just tell me why!" Jungkook shakes Jimin by his shoulders 

"Your mom begged me to, okay!" Jimin bursts out crying, he couldn't hold it in anymore "....she wants me to stay away from you because I'm not good enough for you. I couldn't say no when she was crying to let her son go…. I can't do that to her. I love her"

Jungkook scoffs "...my mom said that? You really expect me to believe that? You know she loves you like her own son…"

"Jungkook …" Jimin reaches out to hold the taller

"Stop! You wanna break up then fine! Don't bring my mom in this!"

Jimin wouldn't even tell Taehyung, his best friend the whole truth. Taehyung just knows that Jimin really loves Jungkook and it wasn't his choice to break up. 

Jungkook never believed what Jimin said but just to give him the benefit of the doubt, he asked his mom about the break up and his mom just said she loves Jimin and nothing else

Jimin had gone to Busan to visit his family for a few weeks to heal from the break up. When he returns to Seoul, he decides to have a sleepover at Taehyung's and that's when he learns  that Jungkook and Taehyung are dating now

Jungkook had come over to Taehyung's that night to ask him to go steady when he sees Jimin there. 

Jimin was hurt when he comes to know that his ex was dating his best friend, he couldn't help it when tears escaped his eyes 

"What's wrong?" Taehyung asks 

"Nothing... nothing at all... please excuse me" Jimin smiles sadly as he hurries upstairs

Taehyung follows him

"Jimin…." Taehyung could hear Jimin crying, which hurts him

"I'm sorry but I fell for him... I was comforting him after your break up and after your left to Busan and we just …. We connected…." Taehyung felt ashamed, hurting his best friend

Jimin's heart breaks hearing the ache in his best friend's voice

"I know it's wrong that's why I couldn't tell you... but then Jungkook came tonight.. I didn't know he would do that" Taehyung had tears in his eyes "...if you still love him, I will let him go"

"It's okay... I'm shocked but he isn't mine anymore... he can date anyone he wants" Jimin  says hugging Taehyung 

"Please come join us downstairs… if you don't I will consider it as you not forgiving me…" Taehyung tries to make Jimin smile

"Sure"

Jimin walks to Jungkook who went to the kitchen. Jimin had been watching Jungkook smirking at him the entire time the taller was holding Taehyung by his waist

"I'm sorry for everything Jungkook"

"Now regretting the break up?" Jungkook asks his voice smug

"You know Tae is my best friend right…" Jimin ignores the question "...please  never hurt him ... he isn't like me... if you hold on, he will never leave you…" Jimin whispers the next words "...unlike me…"

Jimin immediately goes to the room, unable to bear the two together 

Someone knocks and opens the door without him giving permission 

"Tae I want to be alone please…" Jimin's voice is rough from trying to hold himself from breaking down

The man hugs him wordlessly and Jimin recognizes the chest he is leaning against 

"Jungkook?"

"Why are you crying?" Jungkook asks turning Jimin around

"It shouldn't matter to you Jungkook…" Jimin shakes his head "....not anymore"

Jungkook leans down to wipe the tear that escaped the smaller's eye and leans in to kiss when Jimin stops him even if he was craving for it 

"You are  with Tae... I won't make you a cheater Jungkook" Jimin looks away

"Do you love me?" Jungkook couldn't help but ask

"Does it even matter now?" Jimin sighs 

"Yes"

"Why ... you are with Taehyung... it shouldn't matter…." 

"Just tell me!" Jungkook's voice was high

"Yes I do!... I never stopped loving you Jungkook... I didn't break up with you because I wanted to... whether you believe it or not... I couldn't see the tears in your mom's eyes…" Jimin sucked in a breath, controlling a sob "...I couldn't bear to think of the fact that because of me a mom son relation was going to break... I'm not that special…"

Jungkook smashes his lips with Jimin's, not giving him a chance to speak further 

"You are special... You are mine... amd I'm so sorry I never believed you…"

Jimin is confused as he looks at the taller 

"I'm not dating Taehyung... we were acting to find your reaction. Taehyung tried hard to ask you your feelings but you refused to say anything and then my mom... she apologized... she was scared of my dad who wanted a rich girl for me....you  know how abusive he is.... but mom told me not to worry about it anymore... she is going to divorce my dad and she sincerely apologized for making you break up with me ... she really does love you a lot… she was going to tell you once you came back but I stopped her…" 

Jimin sobs into his palms

"Do you love me and want to be with me?" Jungkook asks already knowing the answer 

Jimin nods his head "...of course l do"

"I love you Jimin" Jungkook pecks the smaller's forehead softly

"I love you too Jungkook" Jimin says tightly his hold on the taller
