Nadia Rose Saint

"Nadia! Nadia Rose! Get out here!"

Two voices echoed from outside the touring double doors left to the 16 year old dark witch. They had gold detailing against cream marble slacks. When she was younger she had always admired it- the dried paint under fingertips and the way the sunlight would gleam off the gold.

She tucked a lost, wavy strand of her light brown hair behind her ear before calling out in response, "Coming! Bloody hell- you guys need to work on your patience."

Nadia pulled on the closest pair of white sneakers that were in her sight. Her outfit today was a pair of black baggy jeans, a white tee and the gold necklace she had been gifted from her mom for her birthday last year. She clumsily sped walked back to her oversized canopy bed, tripping over piles of clothes, where her suitcase laid open and filled to the brim on the cream silk sheets.

"Clospacio." she mumbled whilst lazily pointing her finger at the case. The suitcase flipped itself over, squeezing clothes in tight as it zipped in a matter of five seconds. Nadia tugged on the handle hoping to lift the travel bag before giving in and effortlessly lifting her finger, causing the bag to rise off of the spot on the floor that Nadia had dropped it - following her out the double doors which would not be used for weeks after.

"What took you so bloody long?" a tall, strikingly handsome brunette stood before her fuming- his dark brown eyes shooting her strong glares.

"Well Hugo, I was getting ready and doing some last minute packing. Thanks for asking- it truly warms my heart that you care so much about my daily activities." Nadia replied innocently looking back up at him with big, hazel eyes.

He scoffed in return and a soft giggle resounded behind him. Florence Mae Eseme stepped out from his shadow and pulled Nadia into a tight embrace, loosely letting go after a few seconds passed.

"Ugh Nadia, I wish I got to see you more this summer!" Florence spoke.

"Me too! We have all the time in the world to ourselves now though."

Florence gave a sarcastically serious nod before she quickly flipped her shoulder length, golden blonde hair into a messy bun with a pastel yellow ribbon.

Blue eyes twinkingly and soft pink lips parted, she looked like an angel as always. She was wearing semi-baggy light blue jeans and a cropped white tank.

The light witch turned to face Hugo, "Erm Hugo, do you mind not being so melodramatic." her quiet voice said, sass intended. She smirked and nudged Nadia who was already laughing quite loudly at the remark.

"Oh both of you can shove off." Hugo replied as a large smile grew on his face. His skin was tanned from the recent summer and he had light stubble growing on his chin.

"Oy, no hug for me Nadia." another male voice resounded.

"James?!" Nadia responded confused as the first born Sage brother stumbled out of the bathroom next door.

"In the flesh!" James replied with a mischievous smirk. Nadia gave him a small hug as his hair muffled her giggles.

"Ok ok, now can we please get a move on. If we are late for the 3rd year in a row Profesor Arloman will have us in detention for a month." Hugo drawled, obviously at a loss for patience now.

"Fine, but I call shotgun." Florence said curtly, already moving passed the others to the spiraling grand staircase behind them before abruptly turning her head, "Well come on then grandpa."

"Yeah grandpa get a move on." James added.

"Do I have a post-it on my back that says 'gang up on me' or something?" Hugo snarled back at his brother.

"No, but might as well." Nadia said in a clipped voice, "Florence, wait up!" she called out as Florence pranced down the steps, close to the bottom floor of Saint Estate.

Nadia ran down the stairs till the soles of her sneakers hit the hard black marble below.

The entrance doors ahead were held open by the blonde witch, "My lady." she said bowing her head as Nadia passed, "Kind sir, why thank you!"

James and Hugo raced down the stairs behind them as the two girls made their way out.

"Nads?" Florence said as if she were about to start an interrogation. Florence was rarely intense and she could already feel the awkwardness eating at her.

"Yes, Flor?" Nadia answered, a bit confused. Where was this going?
"Look, I wanted to tell you this earlier in the summer but, I didn't get to see you because, well- you know the whole dark and light thing-"

"Mhm, what happened?"

"I think I'm bi." Florence looked up to Nadia. A look of fear growing in her eyes and a faint, helpless, and shy smile painted across her pale face. Before she could get another word out, Nadia pulled her in tightly for a long hug. After about 15 seconds, Florence was released from the embrace, timidly looking at Nadia, "So you don't care?"

"I mean I care, it's a big part of your life but, I don't care in THAT way. I support you one hundred percent!" Nadia replied beaming, "Besides I suspected it anyways." She chuckled.

"What do you mean you suspected it." Florence responded defensively.

"Well I saw you staring at Ophelia Ashin in Spells with lovey dovey eyes. And then there was that time you acted jealous when you saw her on a date with Faith Hill. Oh and when you went off on that ass, Micheal Corrington for making fun of Raven and Bella for dating. So the thought of you being bi or lesbian crossed my mind."

"Oh-" Florence was cut short by an out of breath Hugo.

"Ladies, come on now, hop on the brooms." He said panting.

The two girls looked at each other and then back at Hugo who looked puzzled as ever.

"What? Is there something wrong?" He said a bit panicked now.

"No no, I just told her and well you kind of interrupted." Florence replied.

"Told her wha- oh! Sorry! Would you like James and I to leave and give you a moment or-"

"No need." Florence said, smiling at Nadia, "I told the two of them on the way here."

Nadia gave a soft nod and the group hopped on their brooms which immediately lifted up into the air.

"You guys ready?" James asked. He looked calm although he was struggling to hold still on his broom.

"Yeah." Nadia said yet not paying much attention to her surroundings.

"Oh I forgot to tell you Nads- Rory, Felix, Elio, Scarlet, Theo, and Cordelia are meeting us at school. Apparently the Tammings got a teleporting system installed in their manor and they are going to use it. It's international too even though school is in the country. Anyways, Elio says he is going to try and teleport to Paris on the way. Hardly doubt he will be able to though since you need a powerful witch or wizard to go international." Hugo sighed and turned back around to face the space in front of him, "Lets go!"
