Panic strikes, time seems to stop, the air feels thick enough to cut, my vision starts blurring, I can feel my body shiver in the freezing rain of the night, it's that or the fear quaking deep in my bones.

"I need to get out of here" I breathe out as I here foot steps near my current location.

Not the most convenient, but it was shielding me from the view of a tall man, draped in seemingly dark clothing, not even two meters away from me, I can almost smell the gun powder on his jacket. The old all to familiar stench of blood.

"Little girl, come out. I just want to have a little....I just want to have a little talk, that's all" he spoke firmly.

I peaked my head around the corner, just to see him towering over me, a sly disgusting grin spread across his face while glaring down at me.

I pushed myself up using the wall and ran, I ran faster then I ever thought in this state. I ran, I ran and ran and ran, but nothing was working. I couldn't escape.

I yelped when something hit my neck, I stopped and felt the back of it.

"It's a shame you didn't listen to me the first time you foolish child! You didn't really think you where getting anywhere away form me after your disobedience did you‽ How unfortunate!" The sing song voice of the male rang out through the alleyway as he got closer.

"XAVIER!" I screamed mentally, his lair should be close by! I started feeling dizzy so I sprinted off trying to keep focus of my new task.

I could hear faint footsteps behind me, I knew he was after me, but I kept running, I needed to get away and fast.

I ran and ran and ran, ran, ran until I knew I lost the villian. I seen Xavier's lair up ahead, I had to take a small break, leaning against a wall of another building. I took a few breaths before continuing to head towards the door, I was stumbling over air now, my vision started to go black, I knock on his door as hard as I possibly could.

I heard footsteps, I couldn't tell where they where coming from until a light blinded me.

"Oh my God thank you!" I said mentally before going back to focusing on what he was saying.

"What are you doing here Hero?! it's dangerous!" Xavier yelled getting into seemingly a fighting stance for all I know. I could barely keep my eyes open as he said that.

"...I...I didn't know where...where else to go..." I stumbled soon my words before everything went black, I felt myself fall but never got the ground.

"What the hell?!" I thought as I caught the Hero in my arms, but something astonished me, the went warm gross feeling of blood on my hand as I touched there back to raise their unconscious body. I brought them inside to take a closer look at them.

I felt my heart drop to my stomach when I seen the condition the young hero was in. Blood was all over there clothing, there arms, back and face.

"clearly wasn't on patrol..." I grabbed a cloth then lifted up there hoodie, and lifted up the back of her shirt, I seen bandages wrapped around her upper back but payed no mind to It, as what I found next was very disturbing to me.

A large and deep slash through the child's back, dried blood around it along with fresh blood oozing out of it, He could almost see the bones.

He couldn't bare to touch it in fear of hurting the poor thing even more.

"We need to fix her." He breathed out "Doctor Anastasia!" Boomed the villain in anger with worry lacing his tone. he watched as she ran in holding a medical kit.

"What seems to be the..." She cut herself off midway through her sentence as she stared at the child in disbelief, she paused "I will bring her to my office and work on her there sir! I won't fail you this time!" with that, be watched as she picked up the child gently and rushed off to the  medical ward.

"You better not fail me.." he whispered lightly before picking her hoodie up, he went to clean and fix it for her.
