That's My Baby

Part twenty-four

After what felt like hours of pain, our boy was here.

Mine and Daniel's baby was officially here.

Nurse- Do you have a name yet?
I look over at Daniel and he nods.

Y/n- We do

Nurse- And what is this handsome man's name?
The nurse says looking down at the sleeping baby on my chest.

Daniel- Daniel James Seavey
I whack his arm, trying not to move too much to wake the baby

Y/n- Not your name, dumbass
Everyone in the room lets out a small laugh

Daniel- Theodore Robert Seavey

Nurse- Thats a beautiful name. Would you like me to send in your friends?

I nod and Daniel picks up Theodore. He starts slightly swaying, staring at our baby with the biggest smile on his face and I couldn't help but fall in love a little more, if that was even possible.

Y/n- Hey, Daniel?
I ask in a whisper, not wanting to be too loud

Daniel- Yeah, babe?

Y/n- I just wanted you to know, I-
I was cut off by a knock on the door

Y/n- Come in

The door opens, revealing many, happy faces. Tyler and Christian walk in first. Jack and Sam come in next.

Jack- The rest of the boys are out there, but we were told not all of us could come in at once

Daniel- Thats okay, thank you all for coming

Tyler- I'm so proud of you momma
He walks over to me and gives me a light hug

Chris- So what's his name!

Y/n- Theodore Robert Seavey

Jack's eyes instantly start to water, I couldn't help but smile

Jack- You named him after me?

He walks over to me and gives me a hug and a kiss on the top of the head

Y/n- Well, kind of
I chuckle

Y/n- Robert was my grandfathers name and because you were one of my first friends when I moved to LA

Jack- Hey, I'll still take it!

Daniel hands Theodore around so everyone could have a turn to hold him, I couldn't be happier.

I'm here with my new family and I couldn't be happier.

After a few hours, Christian and Tyler leave to go set up the house to be ready for when we come home tomorrow. Sam and Jack left as well so everyone else could come in and have a turn. Corbyn, Jonah, Zach and a small blonde girl come in.

Daniel- Oh my god! You made it!

Daniel walks over giving the small blonde a big hug and a kiss in the forehead. I shoot them a glare but I couldn't be mad, he has our son in his arms and he looks so happy

Zach- Okay, give the baby to the best uncle!

Corbyn- Yeah, so hand him over to me!

Jonah- In your dreams, I'm holding him first

Daniel- Anna is going to hold him first, you three need to relax before I hand over my son to you crazies

Ah, I'm so stupid. It's Anna, his sister. I've never met any of his family, besides his brothers, just heard stories of them and they all seem like great people. I send her a smile while Daniel hands her Theodore.

Anna- Hi, I'm Anna.
She walks over to shake my hand but Daniel stops her

Daniel- Anna sit down while you're holding him!

Anna- Why? I'm not going to drop him

Daniel- You don't know that! Now sit down

Anna rolls her eyes at him and sits down.

We sit and talk for an hour or so and everyone decides to leave when they notice I'm starting to fall asleep. You can't blame me, I just had a baby.

Daniel puts Theo into the crib the hospital provided and he crawls into my bed with me.

Daniel- Hey babe, are you still awake?
He asks cuddling closer to me

Y/n- Yeah?

Daniel- I'm so proud of you. I love you
He whispers the last part. I turn my head to face him

Y/n- I love you too

He shoots up in bed and looks at me intensely
Daniel- You do?!

Y/n- Hush! Don't wake the baby! But yes, I love you so much.

He gets up off the bed and runs to the over night bag and grabs something out and walks back over to the bed

Daniel- I got you this. Now, it's not what you're thinking, it's far too early for that, but this is my promise to love you and to protect you, and Theo. I'd never do anything to hurt either of you. You two are my life now

He then hands me a small ring box and I already know what it is, I start to cry. I open the box and a little diamond ring is set inside.

Daniel- Baby, don't cry. It's a promise that I'll always love you

I nod my head, not being able to form any words. He grabs the ring out and slides it on my finger. Daniel pulls me into a kiss and we lay back down.

This day couldn't get any better. I had my son, and I got a promise from the love of my life.

I wake up in the morning, seeing Daniel asleep on the couch with Theo in his arms. He must've woke up and got to him before I woke up.

I start changing into the clothes we brought over night, when a nurse comes into the room.

Nurse- You're free to leave anytime you'd like, just come to the front desk to sign your discharge papers.

I thank her and start to wake up Daniel. I grab Theo and get him changed into an outfit Sam and Jack brought for him. I place him in his car seat and continue to wake up Daniel.

Daniel- Good morning baby
He says rubbing his eyes

Y/n- We can leave now, I'll drive, you look so tired

Daniel- No no, I'll drive baby, it's okay

Y/n- You're tired, don't worry about it

Daniel- You just had a baby, it's time I take care of you and the baby

Y/n- You took care of me for 4 months, I can handle a drive

Daniel- I'm driving and that's final

He gets up off the couch and kisses my forehead

Daniel- Now, let's get out of here. This place creeps me out

I nod my head and zip up the over night bag. Daniel grabs the car seat and we head to the front desk.

As I'm checking out, Daniel takes Theo and walks out to the car. I thank the nurses and head to the car to see Daniel making silly faces at the baby. I stand and admire him and the baby.

I couldn't ask for a better family.
