Looking back at what Giyuu did he couldn't help but slightly give himself a reality check over how incoherent his actions were.
"Did I just spare a demon's life? And I hesitated: Why?" Was all he could question himself. Not understanding what caused him to make that decision he knew one thing,
"There is no turning back time, all that's left is to focus on the future." And so he wrote to Urokodaki explaining the encounter he had with the boy and his demon sister and saying how he had a strong keen sense of smell like him. Once he sent his letter he was on his way back to headquarters already having no remorse in accepting the consequences he would have to face as a Pillar.

The three looked up at the sky gazing at the shining stars.
"Giyuu, Sabito; Promise me that when all demon's are killed we will find paradise together and no matter if we depart, we will always find a way back to each other..."
"Of course! You both are my family!" exclaimed Sabito as he wrapped his arms around their necks making them all laugh.
"How about you lover boy?" Asked the person who was still facing ahead while the three sat on the same big rock because of their small figures. Giyuu then slowly turned to them both with a faint smile.
"I promise" Giyuu whispered out. The person then formed a loving smile on before slowly beginning to turn towards the two boys but the shining moon made their face blurry. And just before that face could be revealed Giyuu shot up panting as he was awoken.
"Great, I fell asleep," he said in his head.
"Caw caw, master has asked for you, master has asked for you!" Cawed out his crow Kanzaburou. He groaned as he began to get out of bed quickly but not before grabbing his bird that was facing the outside window instead of him. Kanzaburou is an old crow, so he delivers wrong messages half of the time, making Giyuu very nervous about whether to believe him or not most of the time despite his poker face hiding those emotions.
"Why did I dream of that right know?" Mumbled Giyuu as he quickly placed his mismatched Haori that was burgundy red on on side and half patterned on the other that belonged to his deceased older sister and best friend over him and grabbed his sword as he headed out the door of his home to the Ubuyashiki estate. Being a Demon Slayer is already tough, let alone a Hashira. This meant barely having any resting time which was never a bother to Giyuu. Who would he hang out with anyway? No one talked to him, let alone him wanting to have a conversation with someone. His thoughts were interrupted as a certain insect pillar called out to him.
"Ara? Good evening Tomioka it seems like we are partnered up on a mission together once again," she said with her usual smile and high-pitched voice. Giyuu mentally rolled his eyes at the thought of having to deal with her jabbering again. He just nodded and they entered the Ubuyashiki estate and sat on their knees quietly and respectfully, waiting to receive orders. Oyakata-Sama was facing their opposite direction petting and talking to the crow.
"You fought hard to make it home. Most of my children were done in. This may be the work of a Twelve Kizuki. It seems I must send the Hashira. Giyuu, Shinobu.." he said.
"Understood," they said in unison.
"It would be nice if humans and demons could get along. Don't you agree Tomioka?" asked Shinobu.
"Impossible, as long as demons eat humans" replied Giyuu. As they were getting up to leave Oyakata-sama suddenly called out to Giyuu,
"Giyuu..."
