Piper"I cannot bless all of you with magic as there are too many of you. I will release ten magic spirits, mazii, (A/N mazii is a made-up word. I couldn't find the name for magic spirits) in this room. The spirits will choose those worthy enough to wield magic and settle themselves in you," said Hecate. "Chiron, please step outside, if you will, we do not want to risk having the mazii settle inside you." Chiron nodded silently and ducked out of the shrine.
Piper hoped the mazii would choose her. More than wanting magic, she wanted to know that she was a worthy girl who deserved to wield magic. Then she thought about the people who won't get chosen. Surely their self-esteem would lower a lot. Piper decided that this method of choosing was not very efficient. She very much hoped Nico would get chosen. Gods knew he needed a boost of self-esteem.
Piper realised she had spaced out and she focused on Hecate again. "-stand a little more farther apart, yes, that's alright," Hecate was saying. Piper turned to see that Jason had moved a little away on the right and Hazel on the left. She felt a little nervous and she looked up to find a pair of startlingly grey eyes comforting her. She half-smiled at Annabeth and also at Percy who was standing next to her. Even though Hecate had instructed to space out, Percy and Annabeth were still standing pretty close to each other.
Hecate was murmuring something under her breath and was moving her hands in complicated motions. Strands of golden light seemed to come out her fingers and she wove them into a complicated design. She went on for about two minutes. Piper started to fidget a little, being ADHD.
Then Hecate released the spirits she had summoned into the room. Ten medium sized balls woven from golden light drifted around. Piper closed her eyes. She could sense everyone else doing the same. She waited. She could hear tiny gasps coming from a few people. That's when a sudden warmth entered her mouth. She could feel the warmth reach her heart, from where it spread to the rest of her body. Piper gasped too. The feeling was nothing like she had ever felt before. It wasn't unpleasant. The warmth made her feel comfortable.
Piper opened her eyes. She felt a rush of energy. She glanced around the room. She watched Annabeth right in front of her, eyes still closed, as a mazii entered her mouth. The golden light moved down to her heart, then spread all over her body. Annabeth shuddered and opened her eyes. She was glowing faintly. Piper smiled at her and Annabeth returned it. Piper saw that Jason, Percy, Hazel and Will had already been blessed. The remaining four mazii were still floating in the air. Piper watched as two of them settled into Leo and Frank. The last two seemed very hesitant. They floated from one demigod to the other, as if assessing them. Finally one went to Thalia.
The last one hovered around Katie Gardner for a while, then it assessed Clarisse. It moved on from both of them, though. It came to a stop in front of Nico. It hovered there for about two minutes. By now, almost everyone had opened their eyes. Finally, the spirit entered Nico. He gasped loudly and opened his eyes. Everyone started clapping.
"Excellent! The chosen demigods, please come forward," said Hecate, obviously happy about the chosen. Piper stepped forward along with Jason, Leo, Frank, Hazel, Percy, Annabeth, Nico, Will and Thalia. "Lou, dear, please come. You are automatically chosen for of course, you are a child of mine," said Hecate. Lou happily stepped up too. "Others, thank you for your patience, but I'm afraid you will not be able to journey to Hogwarts. You can leave," said Hecate. "Oh, and someone please ask Chiron to come in."
The Stoll brothers fake-pouted at Piper and left, feigning sadness. Katie smiled and gave a thumbs-up. Clarisse just grunted and left. Chiron trotted back in and looked at the Chosen. He smiled sadly and said, "I guess these demigods will never get a chance to rest. But I'm sure you'll succeed in your mission." "Yes, I think so too. Now, I will give the detailed information about the wizarding community that even Chiron doesn't know. These minor details will help you blend in more," said Hecate. She went on about explaining their war against Voldemort, the common things that people do. Piper strained to focus. Piper already had trouble focusing on things. Being ADHD didn't help either.
All the other demigods were also distracted. Percy was playing with a drop of water, creating water statues from it. Leo was tinkering with something from his tool belt, as usual. Hazel was busy decorating the shrine with yet more gold and precious gems, by summoning them from the ground and making them float over to the place she wanted. Nico, Will and Thalia were having a staring contest. Only Frank was listening, he didn't have ADHD. Annabeth and Jason were also trying hard to concentrate. The others seemed to have simply given up. Hecate, however, was obliviously going on explaining.
Later, once Hecate had finished and dismissed them, they gathered in Zeus' Cabin. Percy looked nervous, maybe about being electrocuted by Zeus for sitting in his cabin. Nico and Hazel too, weren't at their best. Annabeth started talking, "Okay, so, we've got to follow Hecate's rules exactly. A single mishap could make them suspicious. Since a lot of their allies turned out to be Death Eaters, they-" "Wait, wait, wait," Percy interrupted. "Death Eaters? Thanatos Eaters? Who'd want to eat Thanatos?" "Percy, did you not listen to a single word Hecate was saying?" Annabeth asked angrily. "Well, you know, ADHD and long lectures don't go well together," Percy mumbled. "Was no one listening?" Annabeth asked. Everyone shook their heads except Frank and Jason.
Annabeth, Frank and Jason told everyone everything Hecate had told them. Piper made a mental short list of all the things they told us. She later wrote it out in Ancient Greek so she wouldn't forget. Piper was amazed to hear about Floo Powder, a magic powder which lets them travel through fireplaces. Leo got a big kick out of it.
The next two days, Piper spent most of her time learning spells and the history of the wizards. Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived, The Chosen One, seemed to have gone through a lot in his life.
Piper realised that the demigods didn't have wands. She asked Chiron about it, and he said that we had to shop for it in London. Piper had never been to London, and she was excited.

Everyone was ready and packed. Hecate had come to see them off, too. The demigods were to go by plane. Percy, Nico, Hazel, and for some reason, Thalia cringed when they heard the news. "No way am I getting on another airplane! Not happening! Nope," said Percy, adamantly shaking his head. "Seaweed Brain, do you really think Zeus would blow up a plane with two of his children in it?" Annabeth asked. "So now my life depends on Jason and Thalia?" Percy screamed in horror. Thalia and Jason smirked and high-fived each other. "Do not fret, godling. I have made Zeus swear on the River Styx to not blow up the plane. Besides, Poseidon, Hades and Athena would never let him," reassured Hecate. Percy nodded, but he still looked green. So did Nico, Hazel and Thalia. Piper wondered why Thalia was nervous, being the daughter of Zeus, but she didn't think much of it.
Argus was ready with the white SUV that would take the demigods to the airport. They gathered up their bags and said goodbyes to all the campers and Chiron. Everyone wished them good luck and Hecate disappeared in a cloud of golden mist.
Chiron had told them that they would be staying at a place called the Leaky Cauldron. Apparently the gateway to an alleyway where they could buy their magical supplies would be there.
They reached the airport and boarded the plane. It was private plane, the Olympian Airlines. As soon as they boarded, Percy, Nico, Hazel and Thalia rushed to their seats and put in their seatbelts as tight as they could. Annabeth tried to calm Percy down, while Will was doing the same to Nico and Frank to Hazel. Jason spoke to Thalia, trying not to laugh at her terror at being in her father's domain. Piper sat at the other side of Jason.
The captain's voice boomed over the loudspeakers, "Welcome to the Olympian Airlines. We will be in the air for roughly 7 hours-" Percy blanched at this. "-and you will be notified when we reach cruising altitude. Please relax and enjoy the flight."
The plane started taxiing down the runway and picking up speed. Thalia was gripping the armrests so tightly, the seams were tearing apart. Percy looked like he was praying to Poseidon. Nico turned a leaf green and was clutching a paper bag in his hand. Hazel was taking deep breaths and trying to calm down. Leo was trying hard not to laugh at the four and failing horribly at it. He kept snorting and his nose kept catching on fire.
The plane lifted into Zeus' domain.
