It has come to my attention that I have made a grave mischaracterisation in making Wooyoung a nice person and I deeply apologise for this mistake.

Teenagers are mean. It's something everyone's known since the beginning of time. They're mean in Heaven, they're mean in Hell and they're especially mean on Earth.

San never had much experience with demons his own age. Most were in containment, as place demons were sent after birth to learn how to control their powers to the best of their abilities. San had skipped this stage of his life. He wasn't sure how but all he remembered was leaving and not wanting to go back at a very young age. Thus, he spent much of his time with older demons, which usually came down too to main two groups: responsible and dangerously chaotic (no surprise which one San preferred and picked up his habits from).

Not to say he didn't know any teens, he just wasn't as familiar with them. Due to skipping containment, and despite Hongjoong and Seonghwa's best efforts, the chaos demon also suffered from a lack of control and true understanding of his powers, making many wary of him.

Recently, things have been very normal. To most that was a rather nice thing but for San, it was torture. He had sworn off using his powers for chaos after coming out to Wooyoung as a demon, as he didn't want to scare him anymore than he already had. Originally, he had planned to just let things go as usual, something would happen eventually that gave him a spike in power.

So he waited, and waited, and waited. Nothing. After a few days he started to get antsy. A power outage, as demons call them, can go several ways. For demons of darkness, like Seonghwa, it's a downward spiral of extreme exhaustion. Demons of fire, like Hongjoong, will freeze to death or simply burn out, the speed at which depending on the environment.

In San's case, he tends to lash out and reacts to most things at the extreme until he eventually can't handle his pent up powers and quite literally combust. That being said, he's never had to experience a near power outage since he's always lived in a controlled environment catered to his powers.

However Earth doesn't necessarily meet those requirements.

So this, plus unforgiving teens equals:

"What do you mean I'm being put on warning?"

"You heard me. You've been on my watch list for ages and now I've finally caught you!" San grumbled his dismay under his breath, which the other student found great satisfaction in. "Smoking is not prohibited on school grounds Park-Kim, I'll be taking this to the student council if it's all the same to you."

The demon rolled his eyes and irritably stomped the cigarette out under his foot. It wasn't like he smoked regularly at school, he just wanted to try it out. Smoking didn't actually do anything to San seeing as he was immune to all its effects. He just liked being able to make smoke come out of his mouth. "Oh come on Yeonjun, you know full well that there's a whole group of boys that spend second period smoking in the bathroom. Why are you only on my case?"

The pink-haired senior tsked at him. "Ratting out your comrades now, are you? Not very admirable of you."

"Those guys aren't my friends," San pressed. They had steered clear of him since their last encounter. Which was for the best. San didn't have to waste any energy on them and they got to stay alive. It was a win-win. Either way, Yeonjun wasn't going to let up.

That was how San found himself sitting in the principal's office instead of having a break. The entire time as he was being scolded, he sat there with his arms crossed and a rather bored expression on his face. He was let off with a warning and was told that they'd be contacting his fathers, which was the only part that had him worried. "What? That's it?" Exclaimed Yeonjun in disbelief after they left the office.
