You say you’ve found “the one”

This is the beginning of my demise

Those two little words

I never thought they’d hurt me as much as they did

I see the two of you holding hands

I see the way you smile at her

I see your eyes and how they glisten for her

If only it were for me

It’s been the two of us from the start

We would hold hands and

You would smile at me

Now all we can do is wrestle

Like the siblings we never had

You’d run to her, and not defend me

And support me when I found “the one”

But what if all I ever wanted
