I took a right down the hallway and stopped dead dead in my tracks as I looked straight in front of me to see him. I sucked in a breath and turned on my heel, hoping he hadnt saw me.

"Ms. Panetta." His stern voice rang out and echoed around in the empty school hallway. "Class has already started, you're late. Again." He continued on "for the third time this month." I squeezed my eyes closed and turned again on my heel, now facing him.

"Oh hey, Mr. Padalecki! You look nice this morning.. Did you do something new to your hair? I like it" I chewed on my bottom lip, a habit I had picked up when I was lying.

"Flattery will get you no where, Caprice." He gave an amused smile. I tilted my head back and sighed. "Come on now, to my desk." He opened the door to his classroom wide, waiting for me to go in first. I let out another sigh and dragged my feet inside. Everyone stared and watched, except for the few people who were smart enough to use this as a distraction for their phones. I stood by his desk and he followed me in, taking a seat in his wheelly chair. "Third time in a quater is 3 detentions, you know that, right?"

"Yeah, of course." He handed me a detention slip and I squinted down at the messy hand writing "Room 128?" He nodded.

"Yes, now go take your seat." I scrunched my nose and made my way through the classroom, sitting down in the only empty seat in the back.

~Later that day~

Classes had gone by exceptionally fast today and I was currently making my way to detention room 128. I gripped my backpack straps tightly as I stumbled up the stairs. Now coming to another hallway, I made my way down it until I finally found the door I was looking for. I grabbed a hold of the handle and pulled it open. "Uh.. is this detention?" I spoke, my eyes falling on a male with either dark brown or black hair. He looked up from his work and gave a smile. I couldnt help it when my eyes had widened. He had the most beautiful blue eyes I had ever seen

"Yep. You can take a seat anywhere you'd like." I nodded and turned to the empty room, quietly taking a seat in the front.

"So.. whats your name?" I spoke out, grabbing a few things so I could work on homework. He looked up again from the paper in his hands and studied me.

"Mr. Collins.. And you must be-" He slid his rolly chair over to his laptop and read over the screen before looking back up to me "Ms. Panetta?"He must have been notified I was coming. I nodded slightly "What'd you do to get detention? You seem well enough.." I snorted a laugh at the last part, but answered his question anyway.

"I was late for the third time." He nodded, understanding, and then the room went quiet. I wanted to speak up again, but he seemed busy so I didnt bother sparking a conversation.

3 more people ended up coming to serve their time and when our hour was up, I gathered my things.

"and remember, behave yourselves." Collins nodded to us in a goodbye. Everyone was quick to leave, except me. I took my time as I slung my bag on my shoulders and began walking to the door.

"I had fun. Same time tomorrow, mr Collins?" I chuckled at my own simple, corny joke, opening the door. He gave a soft smile and nodded, watching me exit.
