Chapter 3-I Meet Thalia Grace

"Jason?" I called. "Can we talk?"
I was at the Zeus cabin. I knocked on the door.
"Sure!" He responded.
I walked in.
"Hey, I want to talk to you about something," I stated.
"Okay... Go for it," Jason said and began drinking out of a bottle of water.
"I'm joining the hunters of Artemis."
Jason spit the water out in front of him... Which unfortunately was on my clothes.
"I'm soo sorry!" He apologized. "Sorry, Luka!"
I shook my head. "It's fine Jason."
Luckily, at that moment, Percy walked in.
"Hey hey guys!" He said.
"Percy, could you dry Luka's clothes?" Jason requested.
Percy nodded. He dried my clothes.
"Thanks," I said.
"So..." Percy started.
"I'm joining the hunters of Artemis," I stated again.
Percy was so surprised he stumbled.
"Y-You're what?!" He shouted.
"Calm down, Percy, I'm joining the hunters. I'll be fine. Besides, Jason's sister, Thalia, will look out for me," I replied.
Jason nodded. "True."
Percy stared.
"Percy...? Why are you staring?" I asked. I waved my hand in front of his face. "Percy you're staring. You have a girlfriend," I said.
He snapped out of it. "Sorry, I was just... Surprised at your decision. That's all," he said. "Good luck with Thalia," Percy added.
Then Jagger walked in. Man was he hot. It must have been because his dad is Apollo. I wish he wasn't my cousin... It would be great if I could go out with him... Oh did I think that already?
"Hey guys," he said.
"Hey," Percy and Jason answered.
"What's going on?" Jagger asked.
"Your cousin is joining the hunters of Artemis," Jason started.
"And she has to deal with Thalia," Percy continued.
"Oh..." Jagger said. "Thalia? Gosh. She's something."
Jason punched Jagger's arm playfully.
"Oh! No, not like that!" Jagger corrected.
Jason punched him again.
"Not that she isn't cute!" Jagger apologized.
Jason punched my cousin. Jagger opened his mouth to say something.
"Jagger, just shut up. You're going to make it worse. Then you'll have a sore arm," I said laughing.
Jagger wanted to object. He just closed his mouth.
"Hey," said a voice.
"Um... Hey?" I answered.
I turned. A girl with short black hair was walking in. She had on a leather jacket, black jeans, and combat boots. Jason stood and Percy turned to face her. Jagger looked at her with... was it respect? They all nodded at her.
"Hey," Jason said finally.
"What's up?" Percy asked.
"How's it going?" Jagger questioned.
"Slow down, boys, I only just got here," the girl said. She walked over to Jason and put her hand on his head. She ruffled up his hair.
"How's my little Jason?" She asked.
"Good," Jason responded.
"Hello, Percy, doing more hero stuff?" She asked. Percy nodded.
The girl looked at my cousin.
"How's my hero?" She questioned.
"Great," Jagger replied.
Her hero? What did she mean? Did Jagger not tell me something?
"Oh," the girl said, turning towards me, "um... Who are you?"
"Luka," I answered. "I'm Luka Moon, daughter of Hecate. And you are?"
"Thalia. Thalia Grace. Jason's sister, daughter of Zeus, and lieutenant of the hunters of Artemis," she stated.
I nodded.
"Thalia," Jason interrupted, "Luka here wants to join the hunters."
Thalia stared at me. She looked me up and down. She walked around me looking at me. It was kind of awkward.
"How well do you shoot that bow?" She asked, noting the bow slung on my shoulder.
"Well," I answered simply.
"Well?!" Jagger asked. "You can shoot that bow so good!" He turned to Thalia. "Her precision is amazing!"
I may have blushed a little. Jagger was so sweet.
"Alright, show me," Thalia demanded.
We walked out.
"See the apple he's holding?" She asked, pointing to Travis who was eating an apple. "Shoot it out his hand."
I took out an arrow. I aimed at the apple. Travis raised the apple toward his mouth. I let the arrow fly. The arrow pierced the apple. The fruit went flying out Travis's hand.
"Good precision," Thalia complemented. She turned to me. "Are you ready to give up boys? Ready to become stronger? To not be tied down by a boyfriend?" She asked.
I nodded. Thalia smiled, "Great."
Just for a moment, Thalia stared at me. She looked dazed or in a daydream. She looked into my eyes. Then she blinked.
"Let's go kid," she said and started walking away.
"Thalia?" I asked walking quickly to catch up. "Why were you just staring at me?"
Thalia paused. "You just remind me of someone. He was an old friend."
Luke, I thought. I knew the story. But I didn't make anything of it. We kept walking. Thalia looked at me.
My name's Luka. Which sounds like Luke. And Luke was important to Thalia. So I felt I needed to be important to her too.
