Vera Heart waited for everybody to get off the bus before she did. First day of school she thought to herself. No biggie. For everybody else, school has been going on for almost four months and that upcoming Friday was the start of their Winter Break. At least if I embarras myself this week everybody will have fourteen full days to forget about it she thought semi-happily.

"Miss Heart," the bus driver said, "time to go to school." Vera looked outside the windows. She saw exactly what she expected, which was exactly what she didn't want to see. Everybody was split up into groups. There were your jocks, goths, nerds, so-called popular kids, and basically everybody that was in middle school seperated into their own groups.

During first period she had office aide. The assistant principal allowed another student to give her a tour of the school. The girl, Alison, was nice. Extremely talkative and very oblivious. She showed Vera were all of her classes were. She showed her the building's west wing, which was were all of the electives were. It seemed almost deserted. "This is the west wing," Alison started, not noticing that Vera was not paying much attention at all, "home of the arts. We have dance, choir..." she continued as Vera lingered behind her.

As Vera stood near each door, she eventually heard the sound of a piano accompanied by two voices. "Wonder why I feel jittery, jumpy I am like a school girl waiting for a dance," an angel's voice sang.

"Should I ask her now? I am like a school boy. What will be her answer? Do I have a chance?" a male voice responded.

Vera, being naturally curious, crept into the room. It was a full sized auditorium. She sat all the way in the back and listened to the students' song as they rehearsed over and over. And over. And over. She heard the voices perfectly and she was so far away and hadn't realized that they had no microphones on. Although the area was so large, there were only a few occupants: The girl singer, the guy singer, a piano player, and herself.

"Cut!" The pianist yelled.

"Yes?" the girl onstage asked.

"What's wrong?" The guy asked.

The pianist stood and looked at the girl. "Gennesys," he began, "very well done. You can take a seat." He looked at the boy and shook his head. "Toby it is the same thing everytime. You are not acting French enough!" He yelled. Vera started to creep out. As usual, she had tripped. As the pianist was confronting Toby, the girl ran up to her.

"Are you okay?" she asked Vera. Not only did she sound like an angel but she was as beautiful as one. She had long straight amber colored hair that matched her eyes perfectly. She had a perfect complection and nice golden skin. She helped Vera up. "I'm Gennesys. Gen if you'd like." She smiled. "Come. I think I should show you how to find your way around here."
