...
NATO sighs as he and FBI walked along the dirt path, but moreover he, himself was leading them somewhere.
Were they really friends? I mean after the deal sure but NATO didn't want to just be 'friends'.
Sighing mentally with frustration he subconsciously went to hold FBI's hand, surprising the other from the sudden contact and movement.
FBI didn't have any idea to why NATO even took them here, near dawn NATO had texted him about meeting up somewhere here which he agreed to without any thought.
If it meant spending more time near NATO than he would definitely agree.
As they came to a small clearing NATO halted so FBI did as well, observing their new surroundings.
It was small cleared area of grass but enough that they might have enough space to run around in, surrounded by trees with a perfect wide view of the sky.
They stood in the middle as the sky began to gradually get darker when FBI's attention was brought back to NATO, who was facing him now.
NATO had a look that seemed determined yet a bit flushed? FBI couldn't tell much since it was getting dark by the hour.
It was silent as they both stared at each other, a bit uncomfortable but FBI thought he might've wanted a kiss so he leaned in to give one on the lips.
"FBI..." NATO finally spoke, causing FBI to halt in his movements as he gave him his undivided attention.
"Ya?" FBI said, curiosity blooming in his blue eyes.
NATO took a slow deep breath before intertwining their hands together.
"I.. Don't want to be friends anymore."
"...What?" FBI asked, having heard correctly but didn't want to believe it.
"What do you mean you don't want to be friends anymore??" FBI asked after getting no response.
NATO refusing to meet gazes as FBI felt something in him slightly break, what had he done? They haven't even been friends for more then a day! What did he do wrong..?
"NATO..." FBI trails off, sadness clear in his voice.
FBI was about to say something else, before stopping as he was pulled closer with their faces a few inches apart.
"Because I want to be more than just friends."
Then they were taken into a deep kiss that shared their feelings as mutual.
...
Laughing filled the air as crickets faintly played their songs in the bushes, stars illuminated the dark blue sky with each dot and speck.
"Oh my god! Did you really have to say that??" NATO laughs out as FBI shrugs.
Both laid on the grass beneath them as fireflies flew above them like additional stars to the sky, next to each other in bliss while looking into the sky.
"I mean it's true. Plus, it's nice to hear you actually laugh." FBI mumbled the last part to himself.
NATO lightly chuckles before rolling onto his side to look towards FBI, who in return slightly did the same.
Near silence filled the air as they both gazed at each other, with warm smiles on their faces.
"I love you."
Catching the other off guard as his face flushed.
"Did you really have to say that, NATO??" FBI whined slightly.
NATO chuckles warmly before laying back down as his gaze was kept as a dreamily warm one.
"I mean it's true. Plus, it's nice to see you actually flustered." NATO answered, purposely mocking the previous words FBI had said earlier.
FBI tsk'ed to himself before laying back down as well.
Once more the air was filled with faint sounds and silence, but it was comfortable as they both smiled to themselves.
Intertwining their hands together in a warm hold, in a pure happiness and calming atmosphere.
