Chapter 9-Darkest Truth

The next morning, I was free to go. Everything had checked out. I was put into the wheelchair, which well let me tell you isn't great, at least being in a wheelchair helps strengthen my arms. Back at the women's room everyone greeted me with hugs and telling me how much they missed me, even Amy did it, which was the most surprising, considering she always saw me as a threat. I still spend most of my time in the music room or the library and I also heard from Adrian that there will be a massive elimination after the ball, which my group was almost done. The banquet was tomorrow, technically it was supposed to be three days ago, but they pushed it back of course because Adrian and me were still missing. The banquet was gonna be really fancy according to Amy, so we were all required to wear long and somewhat formal dresses. Me, Nixie, Lauren, Ornella, and Giovanna were currently in Gen's room hanging out. We were figuring out what to wear for the banquet tomorrow and our dresses for the ball. Which of course, I have no idea about my banquet or my ball dress since my maids like to make special occasion dresses a surprise.

"what dresses are you wearing tomorrow"

"me and Giovanna are wearing similar style burgundy dresses"

"I'm wearing one that matches my eyes" Lauren commented

"I'm not sure yet, though it's most likely going to be pink" Nixie says excitedly

"I was thinking between a light blue dress" Gen showed us

"oh yes"

"that's perfect"

"I agree, it suits you"

"what about you" Lauren pointed to me

"I don't know, I have no idea, my maids like to make special occasion dresses a secret"

"ooo, that sounds like fun" Giovanna commented

"yea, I always end up liking whatever they make"

"not lying, you're third report dress was probably my favorite" Gen said

"yea, me too"

Nixie nodded, "yea, you looked breathtaking in that dress"

"can I see a picture?" Ornella asked

"wow, yeah I can agree"

"damnnn girl, you look amazing"

"thanks guys" I had a but of rosiness on my cheeks as everyone laughed at me. 

Officer Leger came into Gen's room, "hey Gen, your dad wants to see you"

"Oh, hi Cypress"

"hey"

"how do you to know each other?"

"umm, well the first time I met him, I pointed a gun at him and yelled hands up, the second time, I pinned him to a tree with my daggers"

"yea, that's sums it up, although both times we met it was with Adrian"

"hah, oh I love you even more, you pointed a gun at him, and flung daggers, oh wow, you gotta teach me"

"ok, sure"

"I was kind of joking, but I would like to learn"

"alright, we can start after lunch apparently and after you meet with your dad"

We all left to go to the dining room as Gen left to go see his dad. Gen and Maxon had arrived later than the rest of the royal family so we had to stand up and curtsy to them again, but before we could Maxon told us to sit. After lunch was over, Gen dragged me, well not dragged me since I was in my wheelchair, but she pushed me quickly out of the dining room and we headed to my room to pick up my daggers and also asked Leger to get me a handgun, and an archery set to work on aim. We went outside where I told Gen how to set the things up. We started on archery to work on her aim. I showed her how to pull the bow back, look for the bulls eye, and then shoot. Gen picked up the bow as I wheeled myself over to fix her form and then she let the bow go. For her first time it was really good. She actually didn't miss the target. It was on the outer ring but still.
