{chapter 3}

I woke up to the sound of a heat beating and hot breath on my neck and the feeling somebody was watching me. I slowly opened my eyes taking in my surroundings and low and behold standing at the door way was no one other then himself Alex.

"what the fuck!?" He whispered to me. I held up my index fingering telling him to hold on and shut up. I stood up for the bed and walked over to my dresser picking up my pack of cigarettes and lighter. I followed Alex out of the door turning around to take a look at the large peaceful sleeping breadstick in my bed.

His eyes were closed, hidden behind his light pale skin and dark circles. His blond hair was squished down and flat yet still looked just as tempting to run my fingers through. His broad shoulders so delicate yet strong. His long lanky legs were sticking out a little from under the short duvet. He looked like the image of youth; Uncorrupt and beautiful.

I walked out of my bedroom and fallowed Alex down the hall and to the first floor of my uncles house. He lead us out the door and to the early morning sunrise. I sat across from Alex at the glass table on the porch and looked out at the hills and the rising sun. I looked at my phone; 6:45 am. I shrugged and pulled a cigarette out of the pack and put it up to my lips then lighting it.

"You're smoking again?" He asked as he turned to look at me his face full of concern. I nodded. "You know that's no good for you." He said. I nodded. Jesus, if I'm going to have to have this talk with him too then I might as well just off myself now.

He just kept looking at me as I took another puff of my cigarette. I turned to him, "I don't know what you want me to say?" I raised my voice to him getting angry. "You don't have to say anything if you don't think you have to."

"Well, you make me think I do."

"You don't."

"Okay then."

"Okay." We just sat there in silence as I finished my cigarette. I kept my eyes on the horizon watching the sunrise as Alex kept his eyes on me. "Why are you here any way?" I asked turning to him.

"Your uncle asked us to come write with the boys and I wanted to check on you before you left." He said smiling.

"The boys?" I asked my eyebrows knitting together.

"5 seconds of summer." He answered with confusion. I just nodded looking back to see the sun fully rise. "Oh"

We sat there for a little longer taking in the fresh morning air and peace. "You know I really am worried about you Luc." Alex said out of no where. I couldn't help but laugh. What a word, worried. A feeling you feel when you care or love someone. A general feeling of being afraid for someone's well being.

"Don't be."

"How am I not supposed to be?" He yelled.

"Because I told you not to, I have everything under control. I'm taking my meds and I'm leaving soon and won't be stuck in this god damn death trap. So I'm perfectly fucking fine. There is nothing to worry about Alex." I said looking to him the concern on his face only growing; yet when I finished he put on a braver one.

"Okay, I'm trusting you when you say your okay. But don't think I'm going away any time soon." I laughed at his remark. "Good I don't want you to go anywhere." I smiled at him.

"How are we still friends?" He asked.

"Because you love me." I smiled a sarcastic smile at him.

"Ya you're luck I love you."

"I love you too Alex." We sat there smiling soaking in the new Suns rays. I heard the sliding door open and Luke walked out. "I woke up and you were gone." He must not have seen Alex. "Sorry Alex woke me and it was early I didn't want to wake you." His eyes grew wide as he saw Alex sitting in the chair across from me. "Oh....oh. Um- no I just- I was worried you weren't there. Hey man." He held out his hand and Alex shook it. Luke sat down and we sat outside talking and laughing until the rest of the boys woke up.
