Gotta Catch my Love~ Part 1

Vaniville Town - Kalos Region 3:30 P.M K.C.T (Kalos Central Time)

Serena's House

It is a hot summer day in the town of Vaniville in the Kalos Region. The Fletchling are chirping, the Vivillon are buzzing. Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie are currently visiting Serena's mother, Grace, at her home at Vaniville Town. They plan to stay at the home for a couple of days, before making their way towards Lumiose City, the site of the Lumiose Conference. Now, they are relaxing in the living room watching television, while Grace is preparing lunch.

Ash was sitting on the couch with Serena, Clemont occupied the recliner, while Bonnie was sitting on Serena's gigantic Snorlax beanbag seat while playing with Dedenne. The group was currently watching television to entertain themselves, while lunch was being prepared by the courtesy of Grace.

Ash was staring at a Poké Ball before he suddenly asked out, "Hey guys, ever wondered how a Poké Ball can tell a difference between people and Pokémon? Like how come people can't be caught in these balls like Pokémon?"

"I read in books that there are special sensors built into the Poké Balls that can catch anything that is officially registered as a Pokémon. That's why newly discovered Pokémon must be analyzed and researched by authorized professors like Professor Sycamore before being able to be caught." Clemont explained while wiping a smear off his glasses with a cloth.

"Wow, science is so amazing!" Ash exclaimed with stars in his naturally amber-colored eyes.

"Of course, you'd think that," Serena said with a slight giggle.

"Can people make Poké Balls that people can get inside of?" Bonnie asked her brother curiously.

"Actually, we have the technology to create those types of balls, but they are stashed away in the Government database. The Government declared it against the law to manufacture them, so that's why we only have different types of Poké Balls." Clemont replied.

"Hmm..." Ash thought for a second, before coming up with a thought. "So, you are saying it is possible to catch people with this special technology?"

"Basically, but like I said. The information on how to create this ball is stashed away somewhere and so nobody on Earth has any knowledge on how to create it." Clemont responded with a sigh. "But, I am making plans on recreating that ball."

"I know you can do it, big brother!" Bonnie said, before shifting to a face full of mischief. "Maybe if you can invent that ball, I can catch you a wife!"

"Bonnie! I TOLD YOU A MILLION TIMES, I DO NOT NEED A WIFE YET!" Clemont scolded with an embarrassed blush.

"Yet..." Bonnie smirked.

"Nene!" Dedenne added with a squeak.

"So, you are saying I can potentially catch... let's say- Serena in one of those special inventions?" Ash suddenly asked. The entire group suddenly stared at him in shock, clearly not accepting what their ears heard.

"WHAT?!?" Serena blurted out with a red crimson blush on her cheeks. "Y-you want to catch me?"

"Huh, did I say that out loud?" Ash asked. 'Quick Ash, think before they know your secret.'

"Uh- I meant it as a joke." Ash said with a chuckle, while rubbing the back of his head. Everyone sweatdropped.

"Pika..." his faithful yellow mouse Pokémon squeaked.

"Is everything alright with you guys?" Grace asked from the kitchen, hearing the noise the group was making. "What's going on with all that yelling?"

"We are fine mom!" Serena responded with a yell. Serena sighed as she sagged herself on the couch, giving in to her internal thoughts.

'Does Ash like me as more than a friend' Serena wondered to herself. Serena took a quick glance at her raven-haired friend, who was staring out into space for some odd reason. 'I mean, I have been in love with him for years... maybe I should confess soon...'

The group continued to sit in the living room, while chatting and watching television before Grace and her Fletchling entered the living room. Grace called them to the dining table for lunch.

"Hey everyone, let's eat some lunch. It's ready!"
