Hi everyone! I hope you enjoy the first OFFICIAL chapter of this story!~
(Things get heated, don't worry)

Emma Parkers

I finished packing my dad's car trunk with my suitcases ready to go back to school. Today is the start of my second year of high school, boarding school. Part of me is excited to see my friends. The other part of me is already exhausted at the thought of going back to school for the exams and judgemental teachers.

"You ready to go, Em?" My dad quarried me as we both climbed into the car.

"Mhm" I replied, buckling my seatbelt into place.

Dad started the car and as per-usual changed the radio station to the news. I could never understand why he actually enjoyed listening to depressing news of other people's lives. It made me feel drained. I soon plugged my headphones in to avoid the degrading radio station. Dad didn't take notice.

When I finally arrived at the Willow Boarding School, I straight away felt at home. My stomach filled with excitement in anticipation to catch up with my friends. Alex, Avery, Liam and I have been close since Primary school. Although out of them all, I've known Avery for the longest. Our parents were quite close. I began walking down the corridor to the girls dorm rooms when I heard a familiar squeal. To my surprise it was Avery!

"Emma!" She beamed. Avery pulled me into a warm and tight embrace. I eventually lost grip of my suitcases and they fell to the floor.

"Oops! My apologies!" She said letting go of the tight embrace. We both bent down and collected all of my heavy, stuffed suitcases.

"What are you two doing down on the floor there?" Before I even had the chance to look up, it was easy to tell who was behind us. Alex and Liam. Avery and I stood up with the suitcases back where I was holding them before.

"Alex, Liam! Long time no see!" I stated with excitement. It felt so great to be back with my best friends.

"I see you've gotten bold with your fashion choices, Alex." Avery teased. Alex got embarrassed and started to blush. I couldn't help but let out a soft giggle.

"How have you lot been?" Liam asked glancing at us all.

"Bloody horrendous!" Alex groaned. His face sickened as if the thought of the holidays made him want to vomit.

"What happened?" Avery giggled.

"My dad told me that I had to learn how to become a man and made me do all this stupid training exercises!" He complained.

"Well, are you a man now?" Avery joked.

"Well.. uh-." Alex got uncomfortable and looking around the corridor.

Liam and I looked at each other as a signal to change the subject. We could tell it's that Alex wasn't comfortable talking about.

"Avery and I better get going to our dorm room now! You guys should probably do the same before Miss Davids does the room check." I said, hinting to Avery we should unpack our stuff before it's time for dinner.

It was our first meal back at the Willow Boarding School cafeteria. I missed hearing multiple voices laughing and having conversations to their friends. The overflowing smell of different foods made me feel right at home.

"So, whose going to Kelly Richards dorm party?" Alex queried, stuffing his face full of mashed potato.

"I guess I'll go." I replied stabbing a mini, cooked carrots with my fork.
