"Ma'am, sama ka po?"
Yoshi laughed at my reaction. Pupunta kasi ako sa mall. Baka lang gusto niyang sumama kaya inaya ko na rin siya. Tapos patawa-tawa siya ngayon. Ililibing ko talaga 'to, e.
"Ang formal mo," natatawang sabi niya. "But yeah, I'll go with you."
"Malamang nasa office tayo! Baka sabihin ng iba diyan..." Umirap na lang ako.
"Hindi naman nila tayo naiintindihan, abno. Nakikita mong puro hapon 'yan," sabi nito.
"Oo na, Madam. Tara na,"
Isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit ko siya isasama ay dahil makikisakay ako sa kotse niya. Wala akong kotse sa Japan kaya sa kaniya ako sumasabay.
Naglibot-libot lang kami sa loob ng mall. Pumasok kami sa isang stall. Mahilig kasi sa perfume si Yoshi kaya nagtingin siya. Nilibot ko rin ito.
"Babe, what about this? Mabango rin, right?"
I froze only hearing her voice. Sinilip ko kung siya nga ba talaga 'yong narinig ko. Nanlaki ang mga mata ko.
Siya nga...
The girl I loved... Before. Of all places, bakit sa Japan, Sol?
"Caless, halika. Don't you think these two smells good-" Maging si Yoshi ay natigilan din.
My lips parted when she looked at my direction. Seeing her looking at me... It all brings back the old us.
"H-hey. Nandito ka pala, how are you?" tanong ko na lang. I don't wanna be rude.
"Uh, yeah! Bakasyon lang!" Nakangiti itong sumagot.
"So, kayo ulit?" I asked again.
Charles answered this time. "We got back together. After you left her. After you chased your own dream and left her hanging. I thought you were bestfriends? Pathetic." He sarcastically laughed.
But he's right. We were bestfriend back then. I promised to be with her 'til we reached our dreams. But I left her...
For our own sake.
