I'm 6 years old and my father was a merchant and my mom is um well shes dead.My house fairy melody takes care of me most of the time my mother was part fairy but i didn't know that.Oh and by the way I'm cursed with obediance i was cursed as an infant by my godmother lucile.I'm dressed and ready for the funeral when we arived i sliped away and i climbed to the top floor i looked out the window and sighed everyone gatherd below to listen to the preist talk i even saw the king and queen of england but the prince was nowhere in sight
"i wish you were alive mom"i wisperd i didn't notice the prince came in
"i wish she was alive too"a voice said i turned and there stood Prince Valiant i curtsied
"Prince Valiant!"i stated suprised
"please don't curtsy i came to get away from the crowd not be attacked by a fan.you?"he said
"same i needed alone time and im not a big fan I'm Alice by the way"i said as i sat on the bed he sat with me the bed shifted as he sat i was worried and kept looking at my feet unsure of what to sat so i got up but triped and fell and something clatterd to the ground it was my pearl pin it moved away from the fire place and i felt a slight breese blowing from under it.I got up and felt along the wall i felt his eyes on my back as i searched i knew what i was doing i twisted the engraveing on the fireplace then pressed it in and a piece of the wall moved prince Valiant gasped in suprise i went through the hole he fallowed curious i guess i took the torch from the wall and lit it again prince Valient seemed suprised i went up the stairs on my left and kept going we ended up in the tall tower the music from the party below drifted up i smiled softly it was mothers favorite song i sat on the cold stone bench and sighed.prince Valiant sat beside me.
"I'm sorry about your mom"he said
"it's fine"i said
"i wish i could get away from the palace and be a regular kid like you to explore like you can"he said
"i wish i was a princess to help people"i said
"lot of work being a princess"he answerd
"lot of work being normal too"i said getting up the bench moved and i thought i broke it but instead something hit the floor it was my mom's shears we both stood and shoved the seat on the bench and inside was moms gardening tools and a pair of what looked like glass heels prince Valient took one out carefully my name was engraved into the bottom i sliped off my shoes and prince Valient sliped on the glass heel it fit perfectly he put the other one on as well and helped me stand music floated up to us prince Valient bowed
"may i have this dance?"he asked i curtsied and took his hand
"you may"i answerd we danced till my feet hurt then we sat on the other bench smileing then we talked for hours till he was called for
"i regret that i have to go i hope i get to meet you again some day"he said sadly
"i hope to see you too someday maybe when your king in a few years"i said he smiled then left i stayed in the tower till it grew dark then i went to my bedroom hopeing to be alone
4 years later
i was in the market getting food for the family there was a screaming mass of girls for the prince in the town square i paid them no mind but the memories came back of my mother's funeral i hadn't said a word to a soul just kept to myself and my books till papa's new wife came then i became nothing but a sevant i didn't mind my new sisters were in the crowd and my new brother was out and training to become a knight no1 found the glass slippers that the prince and i had found i left them in the room strange thing was that i never out grew them the prince then ran from the crowd the gaurds unable to hold the girls back i ran as well so not to get trampled and to hurry home so the new mistress of the house didn't beat me for being slow this time the prince caught up to me and pulled me into the woods behind a tree his hand around my mouth his other arm around my waist he was behind me so i didn't know it was him i feard the worst the mass of girls ran down the road screaming i just about bit him when he let me go
