"You really need to take good care of your daughter, help her get over her mother's death quickly too"
I heard those words faintly but I thought I also heard something like "mother's death". I tried to recollect what had happened, slowly and faintly I began to open my eyes. I realized that I was in the hospital, but all I could remember was that my uncle released the news of my mother's death few days ago. Remembering my mum, I felt a sharp pain in my head.
"Ohhh, she's awake"
"Doctor"
"Check her pulse"
"Move aside please"
It was as if I heard a thousand voices all at once, the sharp pain increased, touching my head slightly, I noticed a bandage was there. Even in the midst of those voices, I could vividly pick out my Dad's voice. I could feel his breath on my face as he moved closer.
"Andrea ......... I've missed you". He said placing a kiss on my cheek.

Thud.....Thud.....Thud.....Thud
I heard a loud bang on the door.
"Wake up sleepy head, it's morning" shouted Efua as she jumped crazily on my bed.
