I woke up with my cell phone ringing.
Still sleepy, I went looking for my cell phone without even bothering to open my eyes. It was Erik calling me.- What? - I spoke in a sleepy voice.
- Are you still sleeping?! - he said.
- I was, until you woke me up. - I said, while trying to get up. Unsuccessfully.
- Is that how you want to enjoy the holiday? - he said while laughing.
- Go straight to the point, Mr. Walker. - I said, when I finally managed to sit on the bed.
- Today I'm lonely. Nobody to play with me. So...do you want to come here? You can call Eloise too.
- Okay, I'm going to the afternoon. - I said, looking for my slippers.
- No. Can't you come now? And you have to tell me about the prom too. - he said, with a certain desperation in his voice.
What happened to him?
- And you can't wait until the afternoon? - I said, scratching my eyebrow.
- And why do I have to wait until the afternoon?
- Okay, okay. I'm going in the morning. I'm going to ask Eloise if she wants to go with me. - I surrendered.
Erik whispered something that I couldn't understand.
- What did you say? - I asked.
- Ah. It was nothing. I'm waiting for you. Bye. - fired, and then turned off the phone.
- Okay... - I said, looking at my cell phone, eyebrows raised.
After taking a shower I went to get ready. There was no need to go to Erik's house very tidy. Good!
I put on a black jumpsuit with white sneakers. After getting dressed, I called Eloise.
- Hi, Camille. - she spoke, as soon as he answered.
- Hi. Erik called me over to his house and asked me to call you too. Do you want to go?
- Are you going to enjoy your holiday like that, dear? - she said laughing. Did she agree with him or what? - What time? - she continued, in a serious voice.
- Now.
- Okay, I'll change.
- I thought I didn't want to enjoy your holiday like that, Miss Adams. - I said laughing. - I'll be there in 20 minutes to go together, okay?
- Twenty minutes?!! That's not enough for me to get ready, Camille!!
- Bye-bye. - I said, hanging up.
I went downstairs to have breakfast. My parents were already there and when they saw me they frowned with a surprised face.
- Are you feeling bad, Camille? - said my father, still looking surprised.
- Er...no? Why? - I said, while finishing down the stairs.
- If you're okay, why are you wearing that outfit? You don't dress like that.
Their surprise was with my clothes. What a maximum.
- Erik called me asking to spend the holiday with him today. Eloise goes too. That's why this outfit. - I said, pointing to the overalls.
I'm not even that neat!
They exhaled deeply, as if they had been holding their breath this whole time.
- Ok then. Have a nice day there. - said my mother.
I went to the kitchen to see what I had for breakfast. There were many things but I focused on just one: cheese bread. I spent so much time dating with the cheese breads that I forgot about Erik. I got up and went straight to the motorcycle. I wasn't late, but I gave Eloise another five minutes without meaning to. I arrived at her house and was received by the butler. I stayed in the garden waiting for her. Finally she appeared.
