Cade’s POV

There’s always a moment in life where you can’t stand anything, a moment when you lose control of yourself, a moment when you loathe an answer.

When you loathe a particular day and when you loathe a particular decision.

The decision, answer and day that I found myself loathing was the day of Alexis’ date.

I’ve made a choice, a choice which will no doubt make her mad, but I’m going through with it. When I had told Lucas and Micah my plan they had smirked at me and told me to be careful.

Currently I was hiding in my car, down her street dressed in all black. I can see her house from here. Micah and Lucas were in the car as well.

“She’s going to be so mad,” Micah says.

I groan, “I know.”

“Oh wait, I think that’s Trent.” Lucas announces.

I look towards the house and see a black old car parking, Trent walks out and towards the house, he rings the doorbell and I see both her brothers open up the door.

Their arms are crossed and are no doubt scaring the crap out of him.

Then she walks out, my breath hitches at how beautiful she looks, she’s wearing a white floral dress, with pink and blue flowers, that reaches a few inches above her knee, showing off her long, beautiful legs and her dark red curls are straightened to perfection.

“She’s beautiful,” I whisper.

“She could’ve been yours if you just grew up and admitted your feelings,” Lucas announces.

“I know,” I mumble.

I see them walking towards his car and he opens the door for her.

“If he tries anything on her, I’ll kill him.” I clenched my jaw.

My friends look at me with amusement.

I throw them a menacing glare and I realise that they find this situation amusing and not as utterly heartbreaking as I do. I see her smile that wide smile at him, I lived for that smile. It was full of excitement and laughter.

I clench my jaw and bang my hand on the steering wheel, growling.

That smile was meant for me!

She was mine!

He will never have her, she will never hold his hand like she does with me and she will never kiss his cheeks and will never love him like she loved me.
