Third person P.O.V.

It was a chilly Friday, as the winter season approached rapidly and the students had started to wear winter attire to go with their uniforms, with Izuku wearing a striped blue, red and yellow scarf that coincidentally represented the colours of the retired number one hero. Classes were flying by and Class 1-A found themselves in Midoriya's favourite class, Hero History. The speed at which Izuku scribbled down notes for this class was out of this world,  clearly wanting to absorb and retain as much information as he possibly could. This was why Midnight enjoyed teaching the green hero in training, as he would always enthusiastically answer questions that many of the other students seemed bored about or just completely out of it. Although she hadn't seen that same flame in him for a while, she could now see the small spark that formed from the ashes of the boy, and she could not be happier for his recovery. Sure, it seemed that there was still a long road ahead, but progress is progress, and it's important to acknowledge it. Soon, the bell rang and Ochako was already heading towards Deku's desk with skips on her way. Iida, Todoroki, Yaoyorozu and Asui had also started to approach the boy.

"Hey Deku, wanna go out and hang out with us today?" Uraraka was already there by the time the rest of his friends weren't even halfway of the distance. Although startled, Izuku pondered on it for a bit, not knowing if it was the best idea for him to walk around in public. It wasn't that the event became public, but maybe Aizawa or even All Might wanted him to stay for some reason. "I d-don't know Uraraka. W-would mister Aizawa be okay with it?" What Izuku didn't know was that it was his homeroom teacher's idea all along, having talked to the class representative and vice representative early in the morning when no one else had arrived. Of course, when Iida told Uraraka, Todoroki and Tsu, they agreed with no hesitation, and Uraraka was now taking the lead for this sort of 'expedition'. "Aizawa already gave us permission Midoriya, as long as we are in our rooms before curfew." With this information, Izuku slightly smiled and thought to himself due to how long it had been since him and his friends really had gone out or had fun together. "Then y-yeah, of course!"

And before he knew it, Uraraka was dragging him out of his seat and back to the dorms to change into warm clothes and head out of campus for a few hours. "Back down here in twenty minutes and then we head out!" Ochako had really taken personally her role as leader that she herself appointed without telling the rest, but they wouldn't deny her of this. The girls both knew that Uraraka had a crush on the successor, and Todoroki was, as perceptive as he is, wasn't sure of either Midoriya or Uraraka liking each other and forming theory after theory on why they both blushed when too close together. Iida acted oblivious, but he knew something was up and one day he would act as a wingman to Izuku. Just like she ordered, everyone found themselves at the door after twenty minutes of arriving and then headed out, with the sun already on its course to hide until the next day. "Where are we going?" Asked a curious Todoroki, as he was not the best at social interactions nor outings, so he really did have little to no clue of what to do. "You'll see when we get there!"

"The arcade Uraraka? This is where you led us?" Uraraka had walked in the front the entire time and guiding her friends to the mysterious location. She knew that it would be a fun experience for all of them, as Yaoyorozu, Todoroki and Iida seemed to have never actually come here before, while Tsu and Uraraka smirked as they had been here a few times either together or alone. Izuku on the other hand was an odd case. He had been to the arcade, yes, but only played the All Might video game until Bakugo had also started going and decided it was better to not head in that direction ever again. They entered, and as soon as they did, Todoroki seemed entranced by the claw machines, mindlessly going up to one and already giving away his money for a shot at a prize. He didn't care what he got, he just loved trying over and over again as he had once used it to anger his father due to the amount of money he wasted on them while passing through them on the street. However, it seemed Ochako had other plans for Izuku and dragged him to a shooting game that she herself loved and was going to show just how good she was. The others followed and stayed on nearby machines, getting the grasp of the games and deciding that they would find Todoroki when they left.

"How were you so good on everything?" Ochako was exhausted after losing to her crush on every game she took him. Shooting, racing, whack-a-mole, Izuku crushed her on everything. "I don't r-really know what to say..." It had been his crazy analytical skills and adaptability that got him the win on everything, as he started off not understanding the game but soon getting the hang of it and mastering the mechanics. They were walking back when Uraraka stopped walking, making him slightly bum into her, apologize, and then look away embarrassed while blood rushed to his friends. He looked to his left and saw the beach he had cleaned with the moon slowly peeking over the wide blue sea as the sun set on the opposite side. All of them started to go down the steps, Izuku hesitating at first, but then a small tug from Tsu and a sweet smile made him move forwards and down into the beach. They stood near the shore, admiring the last few minutes until they had to go back to the dorms, not a single speck of garbage on the beach.

He smiled, he couldn't help but do so, His journey had started here basically alone with some guidance from All Might, but now he stood among people he called friends and glanced at them. Suddenly, a wave of guilt and regret hit him hard, as he kneeled and sustained his weight on with his arms as well. Uraraka reacted first, crouching next to him and asking questions of worry until she heard him sob and saw the patches of wet sand forming beneath his eyes. "I'm s-so sorry. You are m-my friends, and I let you down!" He screamed mostly at himself, but made sure the rest heard him as they crouched near him while the tears got wilder. "Deku you don't need to apo-" "YES I DO! I hurt you so much! And it's my fault! But I'll make it right to you, all of the class. I PROMISE!" His friends smiled at him, not at his internal suffering, but at his resolve of getting better for not only himself but others. Heroic as always. He would make it up to them. He would save himself.

Heyo. Slightly longer but important. I really don't have much to say except I want people to explain to me why BakuDeku would work. I don't personally see it, but some do and I like analyzing opinions. Either way, I hope you had or have a great day, remember you are all awesome, and I'll be back tomorrow.
