The Blue Wolf

Part 18

Arabella's Perspective:

I couldn't tell if I was more mad at myself or at William. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't resist the pull I felt towards him. Even while saying the harsh things I said to him just a couple minutes ago, I felt like I was betraying my feelings, betraying my thoughts.

When he forcefully kissed me again, for a few seconds I was completely gone in that kiss. I was gone for William, but then I remembered my situation again, and thought, oh hell no. I felt bipolar, all my life, I had never been this way. Ever since I could remember I was always a very clear minded person, and yet here I was in a spiral of indecisive-ness for William fucking Accardi.

Suddenly while walking, I felt like I heard, someone whispering my name. At first I thought it was Will yelling out my name. I stopped, turned around, and looked in the distance for Will. I didn't see him. Great, something else to worry about, there's ghosts in these woods. I started walking faster, like someone was behind me.

It started getting louder and louder until I realized it was coming from inside my mind. "Arabella? Arabella? can you hear me Arabella?" This wasn't anyone's voice I had heard before. Without thinking much, I responded back with "I can hear you."

The voice responded back "Arabella, It is your time now, it is our time now." Fantastic, I was dying, at twenty years old, kidnapped, away from my family, confused and in the woods." The voice laughed elegantly. "Quite the opposite actually. In a way, you could say, you are coming to life. You are about to shift." I suddenly stop in my tracks. No fucking way. I ask "Is this The Blue Wolf?" The Voice answers "No, WE are The Blue Wolf. We are one, until our death."

I'm about to say something, when I feel my spine snap, and I'm brought to my knees and hands, a blood-curdling scream exits from my mouth at a vocal range I didn't know I had. Just like that, every bone in my body breaks, I feel like I'm going to lose my voice from screaming this many times. After the last bone breaks, all I see is blue for a few minutes.

Once it's done. Once all the pain is over. Once I've fully shifted, I get to formally meet my wolf. She sort of looks like a big blue shimmering wolf ghost and shows up infront of me. She tells me each and everyone of the magnificent gifts The Moon Goddess has bestowed to the both of us.

She tells me about each one of lives she's had before, and that she's been around for a longer time then anyone has the comprehension to understand. She tells me that we don't have to tell anyone about all our powers if we don't want to.

She tells me from now on, her and I are one soul. She apologizes to me for taking so long to surface but she needed to feel completely confident before becoming one with me. She tells me her name is Gem. I tell her mine is Arabella. She tells me that we need to cut Mate some slack because he's doing the best he can to be understanding with us. And also that we should say sorry, for not believing him. I whine at that like a kid, but realize she is right.

She tells me that any Pack would be very happy to accept even though we wouldn't be their Alpha's true mate, but I am this Packs Luna now. She tells me never to feel weak and helpless because she's always with me even if she's not constantly communicating with me.

She tells me she's leaving now. And it won't hurt anymore to shift back to human or into my wolf again. She says tonight is only the very beginning of our long journey together. Then she leaves. That's when I hear William's footsteps.

William's Perspective:

I have been running in the direction where I last heard a scream from Arabella. When I see her, my eyes go wide and I bolt in my tracks in pure astonishment. Arabella's wolf is bigger, stronger and more beautiful then any female wolf I've ever seen. But that's not the most surprising part. There's a glow around her that's radiating off of the colour of her fur, no wolf does that.
