CHAPTER 12 THE TERRIFIED AND UNFORGETFUL MEMORY

"Oh I can't believe that I'm now in my last days at law school". Sameem said as He scratches his beard happily. He entered the school cafeteria and ordered meat pie and Freshyo. As he settled to start eating,His phone rang and it was Ahmad on the line.
(Ahmad is Sameem's best-friend and a cousin related by blood. He's a son to Sameem's aunt,Mommy Fateela,a younger sister to Sameem's mom. They base at Canada and only come to Nigeria for holidays or other festivals as his Father is a citizen of Canada and his mother is a citizen of Nigeria.Ahmad insisted on studying at Belarus together with his Friend,Sameem.It was a tough job to get his fathers approval which he allowed on the condition of Ahmad practicing his profession at Canada not Belarus or Nigeria and He accepted.Schooling together made their friendship grew so much stronger that their dreams kept growing together. They both know how to live with each other even though their character differs. Sameem is the quite,serious and shy type while Ahmad is the funny, jovial and considering type. Being family related and best of friends, Sameem promised to ask Daddy Aslaf ( Ahmad's Father) to let Ahmad study in Nigeria as Nigerian legal system stands its grounds and it's also his birth land. Since then,Ahmad had more respect for Sameem. Another reason why Ahmad wants to practice in Nigeria is Because he feels some connection running in him with Nigeria, He doesn't know why He feels happy whenever the country is been mentioned, He will find the answers while working there ,that He promised himself.).....
"Yoo what's up" Ahmad said as Sameem accepted the call
"Cool what's the problem" Sameem asked tiredly
"Must there be a problem before I call you"? Ahmad asked
"Who knows" said Sameem
"You are no fun to be with I swear ,sha I just called to tell you something, man guess who I bumped into yesterday?" He asked hopefully
"Najma" Sameem answered wrongly
"Nop, guess again"
"Abeg tell me if you want me to know or I hang up I'm tired"
"Sameeha" Ahmad said proudly
"Who's she?"Sameem asked unbothered
"Are you trying to tell me you've forgotten about her already?" Ahmad asked and then continued " I mean your sister's best friend, the girl that taught you some lessons back then".
"You mean that spoiled brat,wait why are u telling me, that doesn't concern me". Sameem addressed
"No man it's your business, I went to park yesterday and I saw them having picnic with your sister". He then told his friend what happened and how he recognized Sameeha.
"Please shut up I'm not interested". Sameem shouted furiously
"You mean After hearing the news? Ahmad asked sarcastically with a smirk on his face as if Sameem was looking at him.
"Man I'm confused, do you know that Rufaida didn't tell me about her friend Joining the school"?
"How will she tell you when you are against their friendship". Ahmad defended.
"I must separate these too, I will be back to Belarus after being called to bar to practice in their court for one year, and I guess this one year will be more than enough to teach that brat a lesson".Sameem assured
"Those two can't be separated pls give it up my friend, they seem happy together moreover Sameeha is such a beautiful and smart girl,you must have crossed your line for her to behave rashly with you." Ahmad said
"I guess you crossed your line for her to treat you the way she did on your first meeting" Sameem said sarcastically
Ahmad chuckled and said "that you caused it for me".
"You've ruined my mood already but for sure I will call Rufaida today to give her her own medicine for hiding such a serious thing from me not only her but Mummy also".
"I will call Mummy to let her know her boss will be punishing her today so she can get ready, what do you say"? Ahmad pointed that out.
"That's your problem". Sameem said as he ended the call.
" I need to go tell Rufaida what transpired between her brother and I and to expect his call before he calls unannounced." Ahmad soliloquized as He set to go to Minsk city, to Rufaida's house.
Sameem on the other hand left the Cafeteria without eating or drinking what He ordered. He lost his appetite due to the news his friend gave  him, All he was thinking was about the spoilt brat(Sameeha) and a way to completely separate his sister from her. No idea came to his head as he was just thinking about lots of document to read as their final test is starting next week before their exams. He finally concluded on keeping this issue aside until after his exams if not it might be a 2-0 game for him.
