America Do Better

Hey guys.  I don't always like to bring politics into my work, but this is beyond that.  My platform is very small, but I need to speak out.  Please read to the end.

I'm sure by now you have all heard about what happened at the capitol building last night (if you don't know, then do yourself a favor and do a quick little google search). In summary, the entire democracy of America was threatened.  

As someone who is a minority living in America, I am scared.  People calling themselves, "patriots" and "true Americans" put our senators in danger.  This is not ok.  Our president did not sign the order to pull the national guard to D.C. in order to protect the V.P. and Senators from the quickly escalating scene.  Mike Pence (V.P.) himself had to sign the second order (first one was dismissed by Trump) to protect our government.  Pipe bombs were confirmed to be found around the building, and a noose was built outside. 

Disgusting.

These domestic terrorists were treated WELL compared to the BLM protests.  Fact: 93% of BLM protests were peaceful and called for reform.  What the world saw yesterday was calling for anarchy.  

Disgusting.

President Trump is a danger to everyone living in America.  Inauguration Day is the 20th of January.   President Joe Biden will take over the POTUS position.  Joe Biden will do a better job at protecting Americans and what America stands for because what we saw last night was not representing the ideals of America.

I'm sorry for not posting another preference.  This has shaken me to my core. Please give me time, I promise I will come out with another maybe over the weekend!! School is super hectic (second semester junior year so...) and with the state of our nation, I am busy.  This is a safe space, so feel free to comment anything.  Opinions, ideas, suggestions, random things, compliments, or even something that made you happy recently.
