I dead ass copy and pasted this from the original google doc. Anyways, definite additions to come, things will most likely change.

How the Dragon Tamer world works :

•The Dragon Tamer world is like your basic Fantasy world. Magic and magical creatures exist, kingdoms exist, and all that good stuff. Bunch of different kingdoms, not much to say that could sum it all up though.

Roles:

Dragon Tamers are humans who are extremely rare and have a connection with dragons. This connection allows them to be able to tame dragons and form connections that would (usually) be impossible for a non-dragon tamer to have with dragons. You can tell that someone is a dragon tamer because there will be a birthmark somewhere on their body in the shape of a dragon face. These can be either easy, or very hard to find.

Dragon tamers can not form connections with dragons right away however, they usually have to go through training first, but Tamashi (the main character) and Star (The Empress) are both special cases. Dragons automatically respect dragon tamers, but with Tamashi and Star, they don't even attack. This is because they can sense his strength, and if Kasai (Tamashi's best friend, who is a dragon) is around, they would be able to sense his connection with Kasai.

Characters that have this role: The Mc (I don't have a name for him yet), Violetta, Egor, Cascade, Cleopatra, and Star/The Empress

Mages are those who practice and use magic, but only one specific type of magic. An example could be that a fire mage uses fire magic, but doesn't use water magic.

There are wizards as well, and there's a difference between the two. Mages only use one type of magic, but wizards use all types of magic.

However, magic has a mind of its own, which causes some difficulties. Magic can be used by anyone, but they have to be willing to dedicate themselves completely to magic, and balancing all the different types of magic. When they do this, they can be either a mage or a wizard, but again if they choose to be a wizard, they have to make sure they balance out using all magic evenly. If they use one type of magic more than the others, then they won't be able to use other types of magic, and the process of evening magic back out and becoming a wizard again is difficult. Most people choose to become mages simply because it's easier.

Characters that have this role: Amerey (Pronounced "Aim-er-Yee"), Rey (Both mages), Helga (A mage in training)

Witches and wizards are again, like mages, but they specialize in all magic, and have to make sure they use all magic evenly, as explained in the mages section. Magic is all about balance, Wizards are about keeping that balance...legally. Witches are those who keep the balance in their own way, outside of any restricting laws. Think of your stereotypical witch for a moment. If your thought process was anything like mine, you imagined a witch who lives in the woods surrounded by clutter of different magical items and ingredients. That's basically a witch in this world.

Characters that have this role: Bellatrix

Mermaids live in the ocean kingdom(s). At first the kingdoms used to be separated, but then they all united to become one large kingdom for the sake of peace amongst themselves, and to defend each other from humans, and has become the largest kingdom in the world due to how massive the ocean is. Mermaids are what populate the ocean, along with sea creatures.

There are different breeds of them as well, they can be either regular mermaids with colored tails and beautiful features, or they can be half human half some kind of fish. An example could be a mermaid that is half clownfish and half human. (Although not all fish in this world are real life breeds that exist in the real world).

If they are half some kind of fish and half human, they will usually get the same abilities the fish they are half of has. For example: A mermaid that's half clownfish could touch anemone and not get stung. This can be useful when needed for survival (depending on their situation that is)

Characters that have this role: None as of now.

Sirens are like Mermaids, however they have sharper features, and have a voice that can hypnotize others when sung. However, most sirens don't use their power for bad, and those that do are exiled from the oceanic kingdom.

Characters that have this role: The Oceanic king, the Oceanic Prince.

Assassins are those who kill for money. The biggest unit of assassins is in the Baara kingdom, and they function in a specific way. During the daytime, the members steal either food or some kind of valuable. If they don't make some kind of tribute in the day, they don't get fed, and they aren't assigned a mission, meaning they also don't get paid. During the nighttime however, if they made a contribution, they are assigned someone to kill, and will get paid for it.

Now, this goes for all kingdoms: If a thief is caught, they will cut off both of their hands. In the assassin unit, if you are caught and lose both hands, you will be killed due to you not being of use to them anymore.

Sometimes assassins will have day time jobs, but they still have to contribute, or else.

Characters that have this role: Kaen, Shi, Darrick

And now for the less exciting roles.....

Archers work with knights and guards. They are the defense line and, as the name suggests, are good with archery.

Guards serve and protect royalty.

Knights serve and protect royalty, but are usually assigned to a specific member of the royal family. So far there is only one character with this role, she's a Oc from a friend of mine. The character's name is Marna.

Blacksmiths make weapons and armor. One of the assassins, Darrick, works as a blacksmith.
