CAR RIDE - an Eren Yeager scenario

PART I

You were not listening to anything the professor was saying. Containers, solutions, moistures... Why did you have to learn chemistry in you major anyways? You felt something press your left arm once. Twice. You pretended it wasn't there and kept your eyes closed.

"(Y/n)" some whispered voice called you. "(Y/n)!"

You finally opened your eyes to see who was bothering you. It took a moment for you to focus on Eren Yeager's green eyes and messy hair. He has been sitting by your side in chemistry classes since the beginning of the year.

"Why do you always get so lost when you sleep? I called you too many times." He said in a low voice. Eren seemed to be as sleepy as you were. He hated chemistry as much as you did. You let out a smile.

"So you woke me up for what? Wanna exchange turns?"

"No. I don't want to sleep, and if you keep sleeping, I won't be able to resist. Also, professor Hange may scream with us. She is so passionate about it."

You laughed a little. That was a fact: Hange Zoe, who taught chemistry in Paradis University, seemed to love chemistry so much she would sacrifice her life for it. Right now, she was making an experiment. You had no idea what was that for. And the other students seemed to be as uninterested as you and Eren were.

"Okay, Eren, I will not sleep then."

He smiled back at you, and started pretending to pay attention to the class. You kept looking at him for a while, feeling your heart pound a little. His beautiful green eyes, his strong but at the same time delicate profile and his messy hair tied up in a half bun made him so handsome, in a way you couldn't explain.

In your junior year of high school, you had to be transferred to a whole new place. There, you met Armin Arlert, Mikasa Ackerman and Eren Yeager. You became friends, and even applied to the same university. And there you were, in a chemistry class with Eren, the same place where you met him as first place. Since then, you had some uncertain feelings towards him. You were not sure if it was a crush, or just admiration.

Eren have always been kind of off about things, kind of messy, but he would turn into a beast to protect his friends. He would get involved into fights when Armin got bullied or when someone said bad things about Mikasa, and even fought to protect you a couple of times. This was one of the things that made him very special for you.

Anyways. Even if it was a crush, it didn't mean that he felt something back. Of course, Eren was considerate and affectionate to you, but he acted like this around Armin and Mikasa too. You usually got confused about your feelings, and it has been like this since you met him. Right now, by the ending of your freshman year in college, it hasn't changed yet. Watch him grow taller and prettier over the years did not help in anything, though.

The bell rang, announcing the end of the class. Eren, who was sleepy till then, got up quickly, as if he had never been so awake.

"Lunch time." He said, handing his right hand to you. Slowly, you took it, trying to not smile to his childish excitement for lunch.

"What are you so excited for?" You asked. He didn't drop your hand for any second while you headed to the refectory.

"Mikasa is bringing Japanese food today."

"SERIOUSLY? Why didn't you tell me before?" You almost yelled. All of you loved Japanese food, especially you, and it was almost a party when Mikasa brought sushi for lunch.

Eren stared at you in the eyes, suddenly getting serious. "It's a surprise. I know you like it."

You couldn't smile back. You just turned your blushing face away. "Yeah, I like it a lot."
