Ashton's POV

It didn't take a lot of planning tobe honest. Y/N and I were together for so long and our relationship was so solid and unbreakable I suppose we both knew for a long time that we're gonna marry someday. We've never talked about it but we didn't need to after all. Being together was so natural and healthy and satisfying we didn't need to put it in words. She knew I was all over her and I knew there was no one else but me for her.

When I went to the jewelry with Luke we picked out the wedding rings together and he was all excited. "Where are you going to get married? Have you figured your honeymoon already? When will it be? In Spring? Spring would be a lovely season to have a wedding" he babbled when I was distracted by the shining golden and silver rings in the glass box in front of me.

"I don't know, Luke. I didn't really make plans" I murmured, bending down and still not looking at him.

"How do you like these?" I now turned around, pointing at some golden, subtle pair of rings. Luke's face was still surprised.

"Wait, you have no idea how the wedding should take place?" he asked with a rather harsh tone in his voice, ignoring the rings I was still pointing on.

I let my arm sink. When I was about to explain, we got interrupted: "Gentlemen, can I help you somehow?" a neatly dressed man asked.

"We'd like to get some wedding rings for this guy here and his fiancé" Luke spoke before I could reject the vendor.

"Oh I see" the man smiled and made a "follow me" motion with his head. "I suppose it's a very special woman" he lifted an eyebrow at me.

I nodded. "The most special of all" I replied, entering the backroom where he had another collection of jewelry.

"Well, special women need a special engagement ring, don't they?" he smirked and opened a blue huge box of silver, neatly decorated rings and one had a blue stone in the middle.

Luke's head swung over to face me and waited for a reaction, pure excitement in his face.

"It's them. They are perfect. I'll have them" I said and the man gave me a look that said "I knew it".

On our way home Luke once again asked all concerned why I didn't prepare anything for the wedding and I simply answered. "Marrying isn't what's important me, Luke. Just the thought of being able to call her my wife is most amazing thing I can imagine. I don't need a fancy castle to throw a party and have a 3 foot wedding cake. All I need is her."

LATER THAT DAY

We sat at the couch in front of the TV and Y/N snuggled into my chest as I held her. I watched the flame of the scented candle on the coffee table and my heart started to beat up. I knew that there was no better moment than asking her now.

"Hey babe?" I whispered and she looked up at me.

"Yeah?"

I got up and played with the soft case in the pocket of my jacket.

She gave me an interested look of why I stood in front of her now.

"You know we've been together for a long time now and you know that I love you" I spoke confident, thus I was scared in the back of my head.

I saw a big grin appear on her face and she covered it with both hands.

"Ashton..." she giggled and criss-crossed her legs, and even though the room was really dark I could see her eyes tear up in happiness.

Her smile was contagious but soon I tried to pick up my serious facade again "Would you please let me finish, I put so much work in that speech okay?" I now giggled and she did as well.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, move on" she wiped her eyes and we both cleared our troats.

"So, I've been thinking about our relationship lately. Like when you fell asleep on me or when I just can't help but smile when I hear you sing one of my songs in the shower"

Y/N now covered her moth again.

"Keep it together, Jesus Christ, WOMAN!" I laughed out and so did she.

"Alright, alright, I got it" she replied, breathing in and out dramatically. "Take the floor" she nodded.

I sat down next to her, taking her right hand, as I pulled out the little box I had for the whole day.

"You make me so incredibly happy and I want nothing but sharing my life with you..." I now flipped the box open, showing her the ring and she gasped, and faced me, trying so hard to keep her joy inside.

"My love for you is infinite. Will you ma-" she smashed her lips against mine, pushing he down on the couch as I smiled against her lips feeling her tears on my skin.

"I WAS SO CLOSE!" I yelled out laughing, taking her hand and pushing the ring down her finger.

She laughed and kissed me again, still lying on my chest.

"I'm sorry" she managed to breathe out. "God, I love you so damn much" she now smiled, pecking my lips again.
