You lay on your bed. You understand how you can’t forget Kai, so many memories with him. And it makes you hard to forget him. *Kai…* You closed your eyes and let the tears run down to your face.
Kai came to the house to pick you up before heading off to school. Not as usual, normally he would just wait at the gate and you came with Chanyeol and Baekhyun. But then, he pick you up suddenly and even then, you wake up late.
“Aigo, She’s still sleeping. Kai, you can wake her up.” Your mother said with a chuckle. He chuckled and nodded, “Leave it to me.” Laughing, your mother walked out of the room.
Kai smiled when he saw the sleeping face, *She sleeps like an angel, How lucky I am to have you.* Chuckling, he sat on the edge of your bed and stroked your hair. “Sleeping princess, Your prince charming is here.” He said.
You started to squirm and back to him. He chuckled more and shook his head, “Jiwoo, wake up or you’ll be late.” “Ugh… Shut up, Baekhyun! 5 minutes!” You slapped his hand, thought that he was Baekhyun. Kai stared at you in disbelief. He rolled his eyes, “I’m not Baekhyun, I’m Kim Jongin.”
“Kai?” You mumbled and your eyes opened. You quickly sat up and looked at him, “What are you doing in my room?!!” He blinked innocently, “To wake you up, of course. What else,” He smirked.
You panicked and quickly get out of your bed. You pulled him and pushed him out of your room. “I’ve to take a shower first!” You slammed the door in front of his face and leaned against the door. *He saw me when I was sleeping! Uh oh, Very embarrassing.* You shut your eyes and walked into the bathroom.
After showering and dressing, you skipped downstairs to breakfast. You saw Kai was talking to your mom in the kitchen. You looked around, didn’t see Chanyeol and Baekhyun. “Mom, Where are Chanyeol and Baekhyun? Why did they not come to pick me up?” You frowned.
“Because your boyfriend is here, they had gone first.” Your mother replied as she gave you a glass of milk. You turned to Kai and blushed, “Why did you pick me up? Not as usual.” You said.
He chuckled and pinched your cheek. “Aww!” You winced in pain as you rubbed your cheek. “Why can’t I pick up my own girlfriend? We have been dating for 2 weeks and I want to pick you up.” He smiled, a smile that could melt the heart of all girl.
“Aigo, so cute!” Your mother giggled and looked at Kai, “Jiwoo, You’ve got a perfect boyfriend. I would be happy if Kai become my future son-in-law.”
You blushed, “Mom, too soon to say like that.” “Why? It’s okay, I would love to. I want to call her ‘Mom’ too.” Kai blinked innocently. Your mother laughed as well as him. You couldn’t help but laughed too.
“Jiwoo,” A voice came as he came into your room. You gasped and immediately wiped your tears away. You sat up and turned around, Chanyeol stood there with his crossed arms but with his cute smile. You smiled, “Hey, How is your head?” You asked.
He went over to you and sat on the chair, “Fine, I lied to my mother… What about you?” He said with a chuckle. You rubbed the back of your neck and chuckled, “Same, and luckily thet didn’t suspect at all. I didn’t want they blame Suho oppa.”
He nodded in understanding, “What are you doing? Do you want to going for a walk with me?”
You turned out of the window and glanced at the clock. It was 7pm, you get out of the bed and nodded at him.
You went for walk with Chanyeol and he dragged you to an ice cream shop. He ordered vanilla for him and chocolate for you. You sat near the window so you can enjoy the scenery outside. Finally, your ordes came. The waiter gave your order, Chocolate and Vanilla to Chanyeol.
You turned to Chanyeol and remember something. Yeah, You’ve came here with Kai. At that time, he also ordered just like Chanyeol.
“Why do you like Chocolate?” You looked up at him and blinked. “I think Vanilla is much better…” Kai said as he rested his chin on his palm.
You frowned, “Chocolate IS much better. It’s delicious!”
He chuckled. He saw there is cream left at the edge of your lips and smiled, with his finger, he wiped it. You can felt his soft touch and when his finger on your lips. “You’re like a child.” He chuckled.
Your cheeks turned pink and looked down. Continued to eat your ice cream before It melts. Kai didn’t continue to eat his ice cream, He just stared at you with a smile curved on his lips. “Did you know that life is like ice cream?” He suddenly said.
You stopped eating and looked at him in puzzlement. He smiled, “You have to enjoy it before it melts. Just like ice cream, We have to enjoy it before it melts.”
You nodded in understanding, “You’re an adult now.” You said, mocking him. He pulled your nose with his finger, which make you winced in pain. “Hey! I’m eating here!” Laughing, he continued to eat. You shook your head but smiling.
It was, a week before it happened. When he said things like that, you didn’t expect that something will happen. Something that will take your precious person. But he was right, Enjoy your life before it melts. Just like Ice cream…
“Think about Kai again?” You startled when your heard Chanyeol’s voice. You cleared your throat and began to eat. Chanyeol softened, “Enjoy it before it melts.” He said as he rubbed your hair.
You stiffened, his words is the same with Kai’s words. Suddenly you don’t have the appetite to eat it again. You put your spoon on the table and looked down, “Your words… Kai told me like that too.” You whispered sadly. “Huh?” He grew confused and stared at you.
“He said, Enjoy it before it melts. I just remembered, He said that life is like an ice cream…” You smiled slightly. He was silent, understand with what you said. He hissed, “I could never beat him….”
You chuckled, with sad eyes. “Sorry… I shouldn’t have to mention Kai when I’m with you.”
He shook his head and took your hand, “It’s okay, I’m not telling you to forget him. Right?”
“Still… I feel upset…” You whispered, “Because of that Heejun guy? Who’s he? I’ve heard about him from Suho hyung.” You froze and looked at him. That’s right, He doesn’t know about Kai. About he was a gang member. “He is—“ “What was his relationship with Kai? His family?” He cut off you because too curious.
