Chapter 1 Leaf's Day

This is my first story so I'm sorry if it's short. Also my spelling it terrible and my grammar I would love it if you could give me fed back and advise

It was a bright sunny day at the Ash farm it was a lovely little cottage but it had huge field that they had to harvest all by them selves and then replant again, but they would work so hard, for very little money. Mr and Mrs Ash just had enough to feed there daughter and son. They had no money for electric or hot water. They would work so hard even the kids would come back with scratches and cuts on them. There father was strict really strict he didn't care if they were tired or hungry they had to work non-stop there mother was always treating them she was not strict and would always let them rest when they were working with her.

The kids did go school but they hated school it was boring and they would get picked on for being poor they would always come home with bruises and crying. It was horrible. The one good thing about school was that they could see the town but there father said they could never go there the journey through town has always been the closest they got just watching from a school bus window. It was there dream to see the town in person and be able to walk the streets they didn't see why there father was scared about them going town.

" Oh my god leaf look it's a dog it's sooo adorable" screamed Oscar. Oscar is only 7 and his sister Leaf is 16 so 9 years different " that's a bloodhound Oscar" leaf explained. She started to explain what they did and what they were good for until she heard the girls behind her whispering about them " I don't know why there letting these freaks on the bus and there so going to make this bus turn green with germs" whispered leafs worst enemy Chloe the all so pretty popular class mate Leaf hated her. Chloe was always picking on Oscar it would drive Leaf nuts. " That boy with leaf is so lame I don't even think he's human" chloe said a bit louder and all her friends (chloe's gang called the pink flowers) started to laugh and nod at her agreeing. That was it leaf was so angry she stood up and yelled "he is human he's my brother and at least he is smarter than you" leaf took a deep breath and continued "Your just a snobby girl with no life so you pick on people trying to make yourself happy but your just horrible and should think about others more than yourself"
"Oh yeah like you know anything tree" Chloe answered back smiling Chloe knew leaf hated being called tree it was a stupid nick name she hated it. Leaf turned around and sat back down feeling worse then before

Leaf and Oscar were always the last stop on the bus journey but Chloe would always give her a evil glare when she got off at her stop. It was finally leaf and Oscars stop "leaf" their bus driver was very nice and would always make her happy "yeah" leaf said holding her tears back and stoping herself from running off the bus and up to her room "don't listen to Chloe she is no way better then you and also well done for standing up for your little brother" he smiled and gave her a hug he knew what she was going through so he knew how to cheer her up *sniff* "thanks bill you always know how to cheer me up" leaf looked at Oscar who looked at leaf looking worried they knew how each other felt "don't worry Oscar I'm fine don't listen to any of those people your just like me smart and nice never forget I'm there for you" she placed her hand on his head and messed up his hair like she always did. Oscar just giggled and took her hand "bye bill" they both said and walked off the bus and they went happily home together.
