Mira entered the coffeeshop and saw her manager with another person. She came close and startled to see her labelmate, Ryu from Eclipse.
"Senior?" Mira stared at Ryu and turned her gaze towards her manager, looking for answer.
"This is Mira, Ryu. You'll be working together," Mr. Shin smiled, Ryu sent a friendly wave at her.
Mira's mind clicked, this was the same person she bumped into yesterday. The same silver hair with doe eyes, Mira's eyes darted away in embarrassment while waving back at him.
"Mr. Shin, Mira.. Why don't we head to the location for our web-drama." Ryu started.
Mira and Ryu sat at the back row in the car, with a space in between them. She fiddled with her fingers, awkward with the silent atmosphere.
"So.. I heard we're the same age." Ryu opened his mouth.
"Really?" her gaze shifted from the scenery outside to his face, relieved to see someone her age in the industry.
Thankfully, he was the one holding the conversation well and made the situation in the car lighter. She was surprised on how easily she could talk with him.
"Also.. Calling me senior is a bit weird cause you know" His chuckled, even though he was in the industry longer than her, the term 'senior' was foreign for him especially with Mira.
"Then.. I'll call you Ryu?"
"Please!" Ryu answered, making her laugh. The two managers smiled at their interactions.
...
Both of them sat at the meeting room, facing with the other staff for the web-drama. The talkative Ryu was also mute in their presence.
"Good morning," The director came, Mira and Ryu instantly stood up, greeting him followed with the staffs.
"Glad to have all of you around especially you two," The director signalled them to sit, eyeing Mira and Ryu.
"We're thankful for giving us such opportunity!" They ducked their head in unison.
The discussion went on, Mira and Ryu were assigned as the leads in the web-drama. Her heart picking up it's pace, she thought the chance will come after a few years in her career, but it arrived sooner than she expected. She was nervous hearing it but watching Ryu beside her, nodding along and composed for the whole discussion.
"I truly do have alot to learn.." She whispered to herself.
Mira was one of the top during her trainee days, acting and etiquette classes days and nights, she learned them all. Somehow, being on the field was a whole new experience and she couldn't ask for more, she was thrilled.
The meeting come to an end, they exited the room, "you were so cool sen- I mean, Ryu.." Mira complimented.
"Really? I'm just doing what I have been doing for all these years," he chuckled, shaking his head. "Plus, I should be calling you senior in this department."
"Why?" Mira's eyes went wide, she's new in her career, why would he-
"Because, this is actually my first time acting in a drama. Please guide me senior Mira" He said with a cheeky smile.
"H-hey.. Don't need to call me that.." Mira covered her red face, causing Ryu to laugh.
"Would you look at the time, I have to get back to the dormitory.. The kids must have finished their practice," he checked his wristwatch.
"The kids?" Mira asked.
"As one of the older members, I share the responsibility to take care of the youngsters. They're troublemakers.." Ryu sighed.
"What about the leader?" Mira thought the leader was supposed to take care all of those.
"Our leader has alot on his plate, we just want to lessen his burden."
She stared at his fond smile, talking about his members, apparent warmth in his eyes.
"Geez.. Talking about them makes me all sappy, they're like my family. Well, I have to go now, see you tomorrow at the set, Mira!" Ryu ran off, slowly disappearing from her view.
Mira waved at him, her smile slowly turning into a frown. A family. She turned her heels and walked the opposite direction from Ryu.
She exited the building and felt light-headed, tall buildings closing into her, suffocating. She quickly grab a cab and went to the coffeeshop, where her car was parked.
She didn't head home first, there was place she wanted to give another visit. A place where she could take a breath.
Moonlight Florist.
She covered her face with a mask, she blamed herself for leaving behind her sunglasses and cap. She stood infront of the door, hesitated to walk in. What if somebody recognised her, she ruffled her hair.
"You dummy-" her thought was cut off by the door opening.
"Oh? May I help you, we're about to close.." The same boy from yesterday greeted her.
"O-oh.. Um.." She searched around the flower shop, demanding for answer. Why couldn't she strike a conversation like Ryu. The boy infront of her, patiently waiting for her answer wasn't helping her one bit.
"Can I have a bouquet of carnations?" She blurted.
"Definitely!" He beamed. "Please come in," he offered and pulled out a stool for her.
"T-thank you.." it was directly infront of the counter, Mira watched as he picked big carnations with smaller carnations. She has no knowledge in flowers, she couldn't understand why would he picked different sizes.
"This large soft pink carnation fit well with these white spray carnation.." He started, continuing on how to take care the flowers.
She felt at awe, seeing him arranging the bouquet for her. Inside the small flowershop, only both of them were present. Her attention soon shifted towards the boy, his existence felt unreal to her. Such calm demeanour was possible in the bustling city.
"Here you are!" He gave her the bouquet, radiating pure energy.
"T-thank you.. And sorry for coming in late.." She looked at the bouquet and back to him, his smile struck her in the heart.
"It's alright." He reassured her.
She better get out before she'll have a heart attack. She payed him and exited the flowershop, she took a glance behind and saw him flipping the open sign to close. He waved goodbye at her, a bashful grin plastered on her face and she entered her car, to her apartment.
...
"Is it really her? She came again?" He shook his head and continued to clean up the flowershop, but her face still remained in his mind.
He grew frustrated and leaned against the counter, looking at the white carnations displayed infront of him. He sensed a resemblance in her eyes but shrugged the feeling off, too much of a coincidence.
