these little mirrors of this gray world
throw curved arms outwards to embrace the sky
these little domes of this gray world
dazzle and shine with another's light
easy to see through
difficult to miss
boasting existence
of themselves
with pure bliss
every time i turn they catch my eye
and remind me of the wonders of the sky
and remind me of the wonders of last night
for last night - against the sky
lit by
moonlight-
it poured.
and all that remains
are these gray clouds
and these drops of rain.
