Happy Tuesday friends! Yet another chapter closer to the end and I am both so excited and a little sad to bring Carter and Bucky's story to a close! Either way, I hope you all enjoy.

~Bucky~

"Mick had a heart attack and he's in the hospital. They don't know much yet but he's in the ICU and it's serious," Knox finally informed after a shit ton of staling.

Even after he'd said it, I still felt confused. It was almost as if the words didn't sink in or like my brain couldn't process them. I was frozen, stuck in place, and completely unsure of what to say or do to help Carter handle this. I didn't know for certain that it was the news of mine and Carter's marriage that had given him a heart attack, but I hadn't heard any evidence of the contrary either. Finding out that she and I had run away and eloped in a Las Vegas wedding chapel could have very well put that man in the hospital and there was only us to blame.

I knew Carter would be facing the brunt of the guilt, cos this was her father after all, but I didn't expect it when I visibly witnessed her legs lock and give out on her a few moments later. If I hadn't been so quick to react and kneel to the ground to catch her, she would have collapsed to the ground without a question.

"Hey," I asked, shaking her just slightly. "You okay, Trouble?" I questioned, watching her eyes flutter open and closed.

Ronnie and Knox were standing over us in a matter of seconds and I vaguely heard Raegan in the background demand for Tweaker to get Carter some water.

I brushed Carter's hair behind her ear and softly ran my fingers against her cheek until I saw her fully come back to consciousness. Her blue eyes were foggy, almost as if there was a film over them. She looked dazed, almost as if she had no idea who the people standing over were, but she was awake.

"Jack," she mumbled, her voice so low, I could barely make out my name when she said it.

"I'm right here, baby," I assured, leaning down to give her forehead a soft kiss.

"Here!" Tweaker said, storming back into the room. "I got the juice!" he announced.

Kneeling down, he handed an apple flavored juice box that I was sure was meant for when any of the kids visited the clubhouse. I shrugged, poking the straw through the little foil hole and tipped it against Carter's lips.

"I told you to get water," Raegan pointed out.

Tweaker shrugged. "Juice-box has sugar, I figured that Carter would like that better."

I was grateful that Tweaker seemed to know that little fact about Carter, cos right now, I was too worried about her to even remember how to think.

The color seemed to rush back to Carter's cheeks and she was able to sit up on her own after a few minutes and some sips of the apple juice. She didn't speak, she just sat on the ground, crossed her legs and sat there as if she was trying to pull her thoughts together. I let her, fully knowing that there were probably a million things going on in her mind right now and she needed some time to let them sink in, but Ronnie was too concerned to let her remain silent.

"Carter," she urged. "Are you okay? Do you need to go to the hospital?"

Carter turned to Ronnie and simply shook her head, not bothering to answer her with words.

"Do you feel sick?" Knox questioned.

Once again, Carter only shook her head.

I had to admit, I was worried about her too. She hadn't been acting herself ever since we left Tooele. She was anxious, her moods were up and down, her appetite was off, she looked like she was on the verge of vomiting constantly, and now she fainted. I had believed her when she told me she wasn't pregnant, but part of me was wondering if she had lied to me for some reason. It would make sense, especially given all of her strange behaviors lately, but she had no reason to hide a pregnancy from me, especially not now that we were married.
