Welcome Home;
*1996 - Hogwarts: Two Years Before!*
"Y/n!" I turned around to see Miranda running over, jumping on top of me as we both toppled onto the bed.
"Miranda! I-I can't breathe!" I gasped, chuckling as she let go of me, helping me up.
"Sorry, I missed you so much," she pouted and I gave her a playful shove. "I missed you more," I blew her a kiss as she sat down on her bed.
I grabbed my shorts and tank top, getting ready for bed. "You know, I want to hate you so much. How dare you not visit me?" Miranda said as I hid behind the cupboard door to change.
"I'm sorry. My parents were extra shaky because of everything happening. I would've if I could," I explained and she rolled her eyes but understood.
"It's alright. But have fun explaining that to Alex, he was looking everywhe-" She began but I jolted my head in her direction, "Alex is here?"
She nodded her head, "Yeah, he went to the common-"
Before I could hear the last of her sentence, I dashed out of our dorm and raced down the stairs to the common room. "Sorry!" I apologised to a fifth-year as I shoved past him.
"Alexander!" I squealed and I jumped into his arms. He grunted as he twirled me around, chuckling, "Glad to see you didn't miss me too much."
He put me down and I shoved him playfully as I gave him another hug. As much as I love Miranda, she can't fill the spot that I have for Alexander. He's been my best friend for six years and we've done almost everything and anything together. He was there for me when I had no one and I will forever love him for it.
"Blimey, y/n. Glad to see you missed us completely," Wren huffed and my eyes widened before I bombarded him with a hug.
He rolled his eyes as he rubbed my back. "You know I missed you too," I huffed, getting off of him to sit next to him.
"Of course, I mean who doesn't miss me?" He smirked, shooting me a wink.
I rolled my eyes before facing Alex, "How was your holiday? You barely owled me." He pouted before smiling, "Mum had me working like a madman. I wanted to, just no time."
"Wait! You didn't send me any letters," Wren pouted as he sent a glare towards Alex.
"As I said, barely had time," Alex smiled at him before waving him off.
I yawned as I barely paid attention to their bickering. To be fair, I barely slept on the train. Mum and dad wouldn't stop stressing out about sending me back but I convinced them enough. Hogwarts is my home and I'd be damned before I let some no-nose git take it from me.
"Go to sleep, butterfly. You seem tired," Alex said as he snapped me out of my thoughts.
Nodding my head, I gave Wren a hug before standing up and walking to Alex. "I'll see you both in the morning," I smiled as he wrapped his arms around my shoulder.

Miranda and I walked to class once we were done with breakfast. The boys weren't with us as they were probably still sleeping.
"I don't want to offend McGonagall but do you think she'd be upset if I bunked her lesson?" Miranda asked as we were heading to the Transfiguration classroom.
I blinked a couple of times, staring at my friend. "Excuse me? Aren't you the one who refused to miss any lessons this year because you wanted to improve your studies?" I questioned her to which she shrugged her shoulders.
