It was the night before Twitchcon. Els and Wil were together at his house since they were gonna leave tomorrow morning super early together.
Els POV
"Who're you most excited to see?" I ask out of curiosity. We were just eating dinner and I didn't really like the silence. It wasn't uncomfortable or anything, I just wanted to talk.
He thinks for a moment and says, "Oh, definitely pokimane."
"Oh really?" I say, with a bit of devastation in my voice, knowing that pokimane is a huge flirt and all of the eboys love her. Well, at least that's how it seems.
"No silly. I'm just excited to see everyone on the SMP. Not really anyone else I'm looking forward to, besides getting to do some fun activities with you there." He says.
"Oh, that's a better answer. Thank god." I say.
"Who're you excited to see?" He asks.
"Definitely Minx. We haven't met yet and we've gotten closer. I also heard Schlatt is coming and I want to set them up together."
"That's a good idea. They obviously have a thing for each other." He says.
"Yeah." My voice suddenly went quiet.
"What's wrong love?" He asks with concern in his voice.
"Nothing, maybe just tired I guess. I don't know." I say.
"Is anything on your mind?" He asks.
"Not really. I just kind of have a bad feeling in my gut about Twitchcon. It all just seems.. a bit too perfect? Too good? I don't know." I respond. At this point I just felt like I was just overthinking and not letting myself be happy. Maybe I really just needed sleep.
"You know what? Nevermind. I think I just need some sleep, we have an early morning tomorrow."
"Els, I assure you everything is going to be great! Let loose and have fun, it's going to be a good experience. But yes, let's go to sleep soon."
The next morning, 7 am.
Wil was driving and I was just on my phone.
