SPHR- New Legends (A RWBY fanfic)

-Prologue-

Summer Pov

It was a sunny day everything started out normally I sat on the chair on the porch watching Tai play with small Yang I giggled at them. I rubbed my stomach I was nine months pregnant with twin girls I Was already passed my due date but I wasn't rushing them if they weren't ready they weren't ready.

"Mommy won't force you girls to come out take all the time you need. I can't wait to finally meet you girls. My you don't have names yet do you? Well let's see what I can name you girls. Hmm how about Ruby and Sapphire? Both are gorgeous gemstones and I bet you both will be beautiful. My precious gems." I spoke softly to my stomach feeling light kicks and moving around. I looked over seeing Taiyang coming over with Yang on his shoulders.

"How you feeling hon?" Taiyang questioned placing Yang down. She hugged onto me with her head on my belly.

"Hello in there!" Yang exclaimed happily. "Imma be you big sissy!"

I chuckled and pet Yang's hair Taiyang laughed and placed his hand on my stomach.

"Do they have names yet?" Taiyang asked.

"Mhmm Ruby and Sapphire will be their names. Since we know they will be girls." I told him. I kept rubbing my stomach until I felt a strong painful kick I groaned in pain.

"Mommy? Are you okay?" Yang asked concerned.

"Tai... I think my water just broke..." I groaned.

"What?! Now?! Okay okay uhhh! I got to get you to a hospital then I gotta find a hospital!" Taiyang shouted.

"I don't think I can make it to a hospital... Call the doctor I think it will be a home birth..." I whimpered holding my stomach.

After a few hours the doctor had arrived and the twins were delivered both happy and healthy.

"Interesting both you and your partner are human one of the girls is human while the other is well a wolf faunus it would seem. It is rare but not uncommon for a all human family to have one Faunus child." The doctor explained. "Would you like to hold them?"

I nodded my head and he handed the girls to me. I looked at the faunus one.

"I will still love you just the same my little Sapphire." I whispered kissing her small head it had small black hair with a blueish tint to it. She slightly moved her little hands. I smiled holding her close along with Ruby
Taiyang slowly came in with Yang in his arms.

"Be very quiet they are sleeping." I whispered. Taiyang tiptoed over looking at the two he stopped and stared at Sapphire.

"Uh? Hon? Why does she have animal features?" He questioned.

"The doctor said it isn't uncommon for an all human family to have one Faunus child. This is Sapphire and right here is Ruby." I introduced them.

"I think her doggy ears are cute daddy." Yang giggled.

He just shrugged and remained quiet. Little did I know what he had planned for her when I left for my mission when the girls were a bit bigger. I never returned to see them. Taiyang had given Sapphire away to Qrow but he wasn't a good guardian he left her home alone way too much until something bad happened. His twin sister, Raven found Sapphire crying and alone in his house she ended up stealing her away and raising her as her own. So Sapphire believes Raven to be her mother.
