"Winner, Nightwing,", the intercom sounded as Arsenal hit the ground hard after being thrown back by one of Nightwing's kicks. They had both been practicing hand-to-hand combat for future missions for two hours straight.

"Whew, that...Was a good fight... Don't you think, Arsenal?" Nightwing gasped trying to catch his breath, holding out a hand to the orange haired boy sitting on the ground, offering to help him up. Arsenal looked at the hand, His eyebrows furrowed. He swatted away the other's hand and stood up with a grunt.

"Ya, whatever." Arsenal always hated losing, even if it was against Nightwing, who was the leader of the team. Nightwing frowned as he watched Arsenal walk out of the practice room and let out a dissatisfied sigh. "Oh Roy," Nightwing spoke to himself. "Why'd you get so bitter?"

Nightwing started to reminisce aboutall the missions they had together back when he was still Batman's sidekick, Robin; They were the best of friends and always had so much fun together. After every mission, They would hang out together at Roy's place in Starling City and play video games, watch funny movies, and laughed until their lungs ached at their own jokes, or sometimes even just talked about all the little things in their lives. They were always happy when they were with each other.

Nightwing just shook his head as he came back to reality and walked out of the vacant room towards his own bedroom at the Mount Justice. As he entered his room, he stripped off his battle suit so he was only wearing a black tank top and blue boxer briefs. He threw himself onto his bed, laying completely face down and let out a groan of exhaustion.

"Gaah, I'm so tired. Maybe I'll just take a shower then watch a movie or something." Nightwing rolled right off his bed, stood up lazily and walked over to his closet door to grab a towel that hung off of it. With the push of a button, his bedroom door slid open and he exited the room. The black haired boy rubbed at his tired eyes and stretched out his arms as he walked to the bathroom that contained various showers. He pushed another button and as the big metal door slid open, steam escaped the room. 'Someone else must be in here,' he thought to himself. As he entered the room, the door closed behind him.

The steam started to clear from the air as Nightwing walked further into the room. To his surprise, he saw the figure of someone with their hands pressed against the wall, and their head hanging over looking towards the ground. More steam left the air and at this point, he could fully make out the figure; it was Arsenal, standing completely naked under one of the shower heads.

Nightwing blushed hard to see Arsenal in this state. He had never once seen him without clothes on. He glanced over at his body. Arsenal was very well built. All his muscles were the perfect size; he looked over at his biceps, which were so large from years of archery with his ex-partner, The Green Arrow. He saw his back and shoulder muscles that he gained from hours of workouts and mission practices every week. When his eyes finally reached his rock hard ass, his heartbeat quickened and he suddenly felt so embarrassed that he forgot to breathe for a moment.

He suddenly gasped when he finally caught his breathe, and he quickly covered his mouth with his hand and hoped that the other boy hadn't heard. Unfortunately, he had. Arsenal raised his head in shock to find out someone else was in the same room. As he turned around, Nightwing turned his head away from Arsenal to stare at one of the walls. His face was turning more red and he felt his ears heat up. He clenched his towel hard, thinking about what to say next.

"u-um.. I...I uh.... Sorry, I didn't know anyone was in here." Nightwing stammered, cheeks turning a deeper shade of red from the added embarrassment of his stuttering. Arsenal looked at him straight faced, then started to chuckle to himself. "It's fine, no big deal. We're both guys and we get sweaty after practice. Don't even worry about it." Nightwing's eyes widened and was surprised at Arsenal's response. He sounded so calm and collected when only moments ago, Arsenal looked at him with frustration when he was defeated.

Nightwing had calmed down slightly and realized that Arsenal was right; there was nothing to worry about, so he took off his tank top, slid off his boxers, and set them aside as he turned on one of the showers just a few down from Arsenal. He stepped under the warm water to soak his body and let out a semi relaxed sigh, but in his head, he was wondering whether or not he should talk to Arsenal. He wanted to talk about what went wrong between the two of them; why they weren't as close as they used to be, but he also thought that maybe this wasn't the time and place for that at the moment.

Nightwing grabbed a bar of soap and started to leather his body with it. He slightly glanced over at Arsenal, who was doing the same, then looked down at the ground, still battling with the thoughts in his head. Suddenly, he gianed the courage to open his mouth to ask Arsenal what he's been wondering for the past couple years.

"Roy... Where did we go wrong? I mean, we used to be best friends... Not it's like.." his face had returned to the shade of red it was earlier on as he started talking, but stopped when he saw Arsenal look over at him. Arsenal let out a sigh and walked over to the person he once called his best friend. Nightwing tensed up, eyes widened slightly when Arsenal looked him right in the eye. Arsenal's face suddenly dropped and looked somewhat sad, which confused Nightwing.

"Dick, I'm sorry. I guess I should explain myself." Arsenal looked over to the wall, and crossed his arms. "Well... It's not easy for me to say but... Two years ago, before your stopped being Batman's sidekick, when we were really close, i started getting these.." Arsenal's heart beat slightly faster, and his breathing became staggered. "..Feelings for you... I started liking you more than a friend, but when you became the leader of this team, I felt abandoned and betrayed. You were more preoccupied with the missions and..." Arsenal let out another sigh and paused.

Nightwing's face dropped as well, and he understood what Arsenal was saying. Nightwing nervously put his hand on the other boy's shoulder. Arsenal hung his head lower and closed his eyes, listening to what he said out loud made him feel foolish. "I know that sounded selfish of me, but I really cared about you... I felt like I was losing my best friend... And the person I..." Arsenal stopped talking again, tears formed in his eyes. When Nightwing heard the crack in his innocent-sounding voice, he quickly wrapped his arms tightly around his shoulders and hugged Arsenal.

Having their naked bodies so close to each other felt a little embarrassing, but Nightwing didn't care. Hearing what Arsenal said made him feel regret; regret that he had thrown away a friendship he cherished very much. He rested his head on the sad boy's shoulder. "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry, Roy." he started to say softly. "I'm sorry that I made you feel that way. I miss what we had. I miss the times when we used to hang out. Those were some of the best moments of my life, and you know...I started feeling the same way about you."

Hearing this shocked Arsenal. He thought that he would never heard those words come out of Nightwing's mouth. His eyes grew bigger, and his heart pounded in his chest. Tears started to run down his face as he returned the hug, wrapping his arms around the dark haired boy tighter than Nightwing was holding him. "I promise Roy," Nightwing began to speak. "I promise that I'll never leave you alone ever again.... I Love you, Roy. I always have, and... I never stopped."

Nightwing tightened the grip he had on Arsenal, and placed one of his hands on the back of the boy's head to comfort him. Arsenal began to smile, tears of despair became tears of joy. "I.. I love you too, Dick." Nightwing loosened his arms, and Arsenal complied. They both looked each other in the eyes, not taking them off each other even for a second. Nightwing placed a hand on Arsenal's cheek, lightly stroking it with his thumb. Arsenal flashed him a sweet, passionate smile. He blushed slightly as Nightwing inched himself closer and closer to his lips. They both closed their eyes as their soft lips touched, truly feeling the passion they had for each other.

It seemed as though the kiss had lasted a life time. both boys forgetting that they needed to breathe. When they both pullled away, they both started breathing heavily, and looked into each other's eyes.
