Darin's POV

I couldn't be mad at her. She just had the really guilty look and when she told me she was about to go to the park I really couldn't stay angry. I wasn't even angry in the first place, I just wanted to be with her.

"I think I rubbed off on you" she started giggling and damn her laugh is melodious. Even her face glows differently when she laughs or smiles.

"What are you talking about?" I honestly didn't know

"You think a lot too now" I chuckled oh that. I didn't even realise.

"Tamara would you mind grabbing a bite with me before I take you home?" I really wanted to get to know her better. She looked like she was debating with herself now.

"No." I sighed well I understand we've only ju...... "I wouldn't mind I'm starving anyway I didn't really eat anything today" great then, I concentrated back to the road while chatting with her a little.

We arrived at Macdonald's cause apparently comfort food is the best to get you in the best mood. Tamara said that not me. She's really funny I wasn't wrong.

"So you're telling me that as old as you are you have no idea whatsoever how it feels to have someone to babysit when mom isn't around?" I told her I'm an only child and she still doesn't believe me.

We bought Macdonald's burgers, chips, spicy nuggets and some cokes. I paid for everything. We bought take outs and went to some kind of a park but it really isn't. It's a lil private since there's still the Candice issue, I don't want her parents thinking I'm cheating on her.

"You're really funny but I actually know how it feels like" I took the last bite of my burger and started chewing.

"How?"

"I used to babysit my cousin Emily. She's three years younger than me though and I always had Mary to help me out" I explained.

"Oh you have a cousin you live with?"

"No but she lives with her parents and older brother Bryce in Calabasas too we're almost neighbors so....."

"Rich kid huh, Calabasas is extremely expensive" I laughed at that

"Well you could say that but hey I got to UCLA" she giggled

"Okay you're diluting I see" and we both burst in laughter.

"So when her parents and mine would go on business trips we'd be left with Mary. Mary is like my second mom by the way. She's our helper"

"Nice I never had one of those."

"Your mom doesn't like hiring?"

"Not really. She didn't need one since she was always there you know. She didn't start working till like five years ago but we were old enough to stay by ourselves whenever she wasn't around and it wasn't all the time" she explained

"I guess your father used to do all the working then" the mention of her father really tensed her up. I saw her stop eating for a moment.

"He didn't...." She paused and took a deep breath "Last time I saw my father was when I was eleven."

"Oh I'm so sorry I didn't know"

"It's okay, I just don't like talking about him cause he wasn't the best father to me. I just only have horrible memories of him" she drank her coke and started gathering her food.

"Tamara I'm sorry if I made you upset I......" She started giggling again

"Relax Weirdo I'm not, just that I really think I should be going home right now" oh right I even forgot about time.
