new feeling | kageyachi

new manager

chatter about upcoming events and whatnot filled the karasuno gym and suddenly the gym doors
bust open and in came kiyoko who looked more excited than usual. not only kiyoko but some
random short blonde girl came in too.

everyone in the gym shut up with their chatter and faced the two and then kiyoko announced, "everyone I'd like you all to meet your potential manager!" and looked over to the blonde girl on her right who looked startled.

the short blonde girl then looked up and started her introduction,
"my name is yachi hitoka nice to meet you all!"

at that moment yachi bowed and came up again only to make eye contact with kageyama and there seemed to be some sort of spark between them. this moment was like one of those love at first sight or whatever. both kageyama and yachi had a light blush across their cheeks as their eyes met each other. kageyama could feel his heartbeat quickening and heat rising to his cheeks as he wondered what this feeling was. maybe it's because I forgot to eat breakfast that I am feeling this way kageyama thought or maybe it's that girl.

yachi then broke eye contact and began to fidget with her hands. the rest of the team went up to yachi and began to surround her and bombard her with questions. while everyone else was going up to the short girl kageyama noticed how nervous and flustered she seemed to be. so he decided to speak up and casually say,

"hey back up a bit guys."

although he meant it casually to everyone else it seemed like some death threat. everyone looked at him with their jaws on the floor they never expected the tobio kageyama to speak up for some girl. anyways they quickly backed up when they swore there was some sort of anger flashing in kageyama's eyes.

after that asahi spoke up and said "so you are a first year?"
intimidated and startled yachi answered,
"I-I am in class 1-5, sir!"

kageyama noticed how yachi called him sir and was a bit confused
but already thinking how that was kinda cute.

"well great now there will be a manager for next year!" spoke asahi again and hinata agreed with him but yachi began to try and explain but no words came out. so kiyoko then cleared things up and said how yachi wasn't a manager just yet but wanted to meet the team.

I hope she does become our manager for sure she would be lots of motivation thought kageyama as he took one last glance at yachi before she ran out of the gym quickly saying thank you to the team.

finally out of the gym yachi pressed both of her small hands over her chest. she could still feel her heart thumping loudly for some reason. it's all because of that hot blue eyed boy she thought. even though she just met him they had some sort of moment and feeling the two had never experienced before. just as she was cooling down yachi then remembered all that eye contact and him speaking up for her and became flustered all over again.

later that day kageyama and hinata were trailing around asking tsukishima and other random people for study help. most of the people they asked lied and made up some excuse they didn't want to deal with those two dumbasses.

hinata and kageyama then spotted yamaguchi in the hall and asked him however no luck but yamaguchi told them, "hey you should try asking that new manager girl you know the one we just met."

hinata's eyes lit up when he remembered her and replied to yamaguchi,
"oh yeah that new manager girl! yeah we'll ask her right kageyama?"
He turned to the taller boy who was slightly blushing for some reason
"yeah that's fine."
said kageyama trying to play it cool or whatever but inside he was screaming and getting all flustered at the thought of seeing yachi again.

hinata noticed his blush and began to tease him.
"already got a little crush on the new manager girl?" asked hinata with a sly smirk and wiggling eyebrows. "shut up idiot let's just go ask already." He replied looking away trying to hide his blush. hinata only smiled to himself and went off to find the classroom.

yachi was sitting in a desk near the windows while sipping on a bottle of apple juice. she was in class 1-5 the one for smart gifted students or something like that. all of the sudden hinata and kageyama bolted into the classroom and scanned around looking for that blonde girl. yachi spotted hinata first and then kageyama who made her a bit flustered.

"hey manager girl I'm shoyo hinata and this is.." he turned to kageyama expecting him to say something, "hey I'm kageyama tobio"
he said and as soon as he stated his name yachi made sure to burn it into her brain.

"we'd like you to help us study please!!" hinata declared

"well only if it's fine with you like we don't want to be an intrusion.." said kageyama
making eye contact with her and seeing her face redden.

"yes it's completely fine!" she replied quickly. so she showed them her notes and whatever and began to explain everything to them. hinata was also rambling on about how he needed to do well to go to Tokyo and whatnot. hinata kept going on and on and then suddenly he went real quiet. he put his hands on the desk and looked directly at yachi and told her,

"you know what thanks so much yachi I get it know! these notes are super easy to read and understand! I think I'm gonna head out know I have things to do that I just remembered about!"

so hinata fake whistled and gathered his stuff and left. before leaving he threw a thumbs up to kageyama when yachi wasn't looking. kageyama wanted to scold him so badly but couldn't do anything in front of yachi.

and now the two of them were alone in the classroom. it was very quiet and yachi could hear her heart thump hard and thought that kageyama could hear it as well. just then kageyama scooted a bit closer to yachi and leaned in on her right ear and asked, "do you want to go study in the library instead?..."
